No matter how people rationalize it - the main goal of this is profit. They saw milions of poor people and concluded that they aren't typical phone buyers, and by making phones for them, they will get a nice profit, because there is so many of poor people.
If you are actually happy that they will get a phone - well, consider this: How good can be a phone that cheap? If they make it too good, even some rich people will buy, which will hurt their profit. Yet, people targeted by these phones are often even hungry, and someone might spend money needed for food, to buy a piece of junk which will only lag, break on first fall and die in less than a year on it's own.
I cannot support that.

It makes me sick to see that instead of doing something for this people, who have way less money then average, they actually take them the money, no matter how much it is. Disgusting to see this companies making money from poor people with crappy devices made in poor lands (Boats) with poor people. This world has become a fake, greedy, psychopathic, mindless place and apparently everybody feels the trend.

Pricing is not unrealistic, it is possible to make a device for that price. We should understand that Google is targeting a different type of market segment here and a different strategy. Their goal is to replace the feature phones with Android Go phones. Not only the people with low income will buy it, even others who want something for a very low price will buy it. In the long run it will be extremely beneficial for Google and Android. They will have more control on the OS and they can collect lots of user data.
