The game you said run at 2k resolution on your android where its ran at 1080p on your iphone so your comparison is a joke as they do not run at same graphic quality level.
Also maybe the game maker was lazy and did not optimise it as well on android than iphone ( the others way around happen as well )
I tested World of tank blitz on iphone 8 plus 64 gb and on LG V30 ( LG pixel 2 lol same hardware ) and essential phone.
on iphone i did not had all the same graphic options and the max graphic setting was lower than on both android handset.
End result was that all 3 phone ran the game at a smooth 60 fps but looked much better on the android ( more folliage and better lightning ) with higher resolution as well.
When i say they are as fast if not faster i speak about UI and speed to open app ( sometime iphone is faster sometime its slower depending on app )

I test every phone we sale for 2 to 4 weeks ( and i put all my stuff on it like social network email ect and even games )
So yes i do.
I tested the iphone 8 plus wich has the same soc , memory and performance as the iphone X ( in fact its has a bit more performance as its has less pixel to push than the X ) and its felt slower than both my LG V30 and essential.
I do admit Samsung are a tad slower ( probably the skin they put over android is too heavy and packed with crap )

I speak about real life usages.
A Essential phone running android 7.0 was faster than apple iphone X in over 5 real life test comparison its only got beaten on some games app but beaten apple at all productivity and social network its also open website in desktop mode faster than iphone X in mobile mode.
i never said apple did not had more raw power.
Just do essential phone versus iphone speed test on youtube tons of video confirm what i said.
what worst is pixel 2 is even faster.
So plz stop with the apple brainwashing.

Pixel 2 are not as smooth as iPhone, not even close. I have a Pixel 2 XL and when playing "Family Guy The Quest for Stuff" and "Futurama: World of Tomorrow" it lags where as my old iPhone 7+ wouldn't. You can feel the phone takes a fraction of a second to register your touch and swipe where iPhone is nearly instantaneous.

Apple UI? Every update they release a lot of bugs which are patched ibn next update which brings even more bugs.
Thanks no. Anyway having a phone for 1400 where the genuine equally same phone made by Oneplus for example could cost 700. I rather go for 700 eur phone. having apple sticker for another 700 on a phone isnt my cup of tea. This world is all about money but knowing you pay more and get same or less as others can do its not what i would like.
Anyway i am one of these who hate apple and samsung for certains reasons. Most of them is price. Xiaomi for example sells as much as these two does and for much much less money. For example my mom have Iphone 6s She got it 2 years on her 60th birthday but all she using her phone is for dialing messaging facebook and messenger for that a 700 eur phone is useless and lot of other people are like this. For a basic entra apps and usage of phone a 200 eur device is more than enough. Having apple just because 10 her friends have same phone is pointless.
Many other people are the same they use like 3-5% of what phone offers and thats it. Gathering intel its my speciality so i usualy talk to the point.
But you probably are bored to hear my stories.

Then there are people who will hate on literally everything they do.
And then, there are their fans who will tolerate everything they do.
Just, they have their fans for a reason, they earned people's trust by quality and good user experience they provide. Apple offers unmatched softvare optimization and iPhones are extremley fast and fluid, UI is extremley important to them. Samsung has simply awesome screens, high quality hardware, good camera and plenty of features on their phones. There is a lot to love about both of them.
