In the past Nexus phones were cheap so when they had problems, someone may say that these phones aren't made for everyone but developers and they are already cheap (still not acceptable IMO), but with Pixel phones they priced them higher, they tried to sell it to everybody and yet Pixel phones have much more issues.
Shame on Google

These phones may experience a sharp decline in price (at least for flash sales on occasion) during their lifespans due to software and hardware problems. One would assume that Google will implement greater countermeasures against the mirage of woes that seem to plague this generation of Pixels for the Pixel 3 duo.

One of my friends works in one of the CarPhoneW... moreNope.
I worked on a hi tech, com's based business park,I still stay in touch with a few of the staff, they reckon very few have pixels and about 50% of those have returned them as un-reliable.
Their very well paid and like to be trend setters,so loads of Sammy 8's/notes.
They reckon not many idiot X phones there either, but quite a few personal import Essential phones..

ethereal, 06 Jan 2018Nothing of that sort on my Nexus running 8.1. Could be a certain app that affected it.

Given how there are so many problems with flagships in 2017, maybe they should stop releasing it yearly and focus on fixing the bugs and improving the firmware.

After making fun of the iPhone X's swipe gestures, they're now being cursed with these swipe gesture problems.

One of my friends works in one of the CarPhoneWarehouse stores in the UK and he has told me that his store has only sold 10 Pixel 2 phones since it's release. Not exactly a runaway success, is it?

Another week, another problem for pixel owners..
When will people realise, Google doesn't do good hardware.
The last decent thing they had a hand in having built was nexus 7.
Fun isn't it,a supposedly secure, rapidly updated phone but you can't use it properly because it's so full of faults and bugs.
Anyone got any figures on returns and re-issues of pixels ?

Phones themselves are already filled with hardware issues (and how funny that the outdated-looking, inferior standard version of the Pixel 2 XL has got way less problems than its supposedly more modern-looking, superior brother), then pair it up with very unstable software, and Google has made the worst possible choice for a 2017 Android flagship smartphone.
Reminder: This last statement will sound biased towards my favorite brand but the point remains the same if I use a different brand. Hate it or not, what I will say is basically what I can see.
I'd rather have a Sony phone that looks outdated with large bezels than a Google or Samsung phone that looks beautifully modern with quality issues straight out from 2010 where Sony's quality control is straight out of 21st century.
