I've been using Nokia for a long long long time. Had the Nseries phones when it first launched(N91), had the Eseries when it 1st launched(E50/60), even had the best ones from S40(6500 slide). Currently I'm using N8.. But seriously even I'm getting confused as to what Nokia is wanting to do. A 1GHZ PROCESSOR & 512RAM FOR A SERIES 40 PHONE..!! I mean a phone which doesn't even multi-task! Why? Okay may be at the time N8 was launched 680mhz was okay(atleast Nokia thought so), but X7/E6? Anna coupled with a 1ghz processor & 512MB RAM would have rocked. But no.. A phone that has a tiny display, doesn't multi-task is been given this power. Probably the phone doesn't even have the application or need to exploit it. Think of the people who bought X7. They must be dropping down in amazement & frustration. Anna+1Ghz prcsr+512MB RAM would have really rocked. But no! Wow.. Nokia what are you thinking? May be Nokia hr trying to do something different! But doing something different is great, but that 'different' should be something of use. Isn't it?

Laurynas, 19 Jul 2011I'm talking not about a phones, applications or operating s... moreit depends on type of application you are using and os too os don't treat dual core as a two separate processor it uses other core only if first one is not providing enough horses or the app is designed to use both cores so if you are using multiple light weight application it doesn't matter whether you have single core or dual core

The feature phone market is still big, especially in the developing world. Sales in units far outsrip smartphone sales. Nokia is shoring up its presence in that category to improve its market position. I should know. I own a Galaxy S, a Desire S, an N8 and a 6700 Classic, all of which I'm very happy with.

Good work Nokia! Even though i live in Sweden i think that third world countries and their mobile users deserve to get a little power in their low budget devices. Kudos Nokia for bringing 1GHz to the poor and modest people of the world!

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2011Its not fanboyism, its stupidity.
Tell me a phone which ... moreI'm talking not about a phones, applications or operating system! I'm talking about CPU's! I'm saying that multitasking on single-core CPU never will be so good like on multi-core CPU. And it is not my statement or opinion, it is a TECHNICAL FACT!!!
And if you have a lack of knowledge and unable to clearly read what, then keep your stupidity to yourself!!!

You just can't use and hate Android, so the Android itself know you're not deserved using it and keep commiting suicide ahead of you.
Seriously, so far I'm using Androids, either it's friend's or mine, it's rarely hang or lagging badly. My friend used to have Symbian and it keep crashing and restarting until he frustated, then switched to Android and happy ever since.
