Anonymous, 09 Jan 2018So its like a samsung gear vr but with snapdragon 821 and 2... moreThe GearVR headset requires an additional $650 phone to be inserted into it. This is promising an awful lot at a price even the "cheap" Google Expedition kits can't touch.

They should invest in AR not VR. Somehow VR always feel like an incomplete product no matter how you look at it, like almost there but not quite it yet. Figure it would take really powerful hardware to make VR decent and we just don't have that yet.

Luxor, 09 Jan 2018Cheap enough I supposed. Instead of advertising it only for... moreThere is no VR head set on the market today that can actually be used for what you intend in productivity environments. This is because of current design impediments and human anatomy.

A great deal of heat is emanated by humans through the head and face. Suppressing the natural ventilation that the skin allows with plastic materials creates heavy discomfort and usually limits usage to 20-30 minute sessions.

I have and used PSVR, Oculus Rift,Vive, Gear VR, 3rd party Google Cardboard derivations.

The closest thing that could be used is Google Glass as an augmented reality, but we all know how that went.

Cheap enough I supposed. Instead of advertising it only for gaming, should had advertise its other purposes like normal browsing and movies watching. Also as a virtual computer like virtual desktop experience where we can actually do some real work. Too much focus on gaming function only makes this thing more like an expensive toys rather than a functional everyday gadget.
