Official website of HTC latam does not make online sales. Other Mexican web markets sales it around $700. Could you provide a link please?
Might be you bought refurbished one? Are you sure that it is not refurbished? Is there a way of checking it?

    I would be interested in this phone if Oreo wasn't its last update, I'll wait for a good 835 phone to drop its price instead.

              HTC was like a man on a bridge, trying to commit suicide. Removing the 3.5mm jack was their way of jumping...
              I'm not gonna say rip because this company is too stupid to deserve one.
              And hey, I was one of their biggest fans. Still have the first Desire (Bravo) working.
              All they do now is copy crapple and make cardboard quality phones with shiny colors to compensate. Pfffff....

                      My last HTC device with 3.5mm jack..... Their recent devices are junk and overpriced.

                            I bought it, few days ago at the price of 260euros/6000 MXN here in mexico. i think that this phone its much better than the nokia 6 or moto g5 plus at the same price
