You do know that a simple 3000mah battery costs 5-10 dollars to manufacter right? Then there comes shipping and tax and bla bla bla. At the end a battery comes for something between 18-20 max. impossible a battery costing more than 9USD.
The profit Apple makes it something like 8-10USD each batteries it sells.
Don't worry, Aplpe isn't losing money on batteries, Apple never loses profit in one of their equipements sold.

It means that it's not difficult for apple to bring software or hardware support for iPhone 8 and apply the same till iPhone 6.
Even a sub $100 smartphone which i bought 3 years ago was given a update recently and i can still buy a new battery for that phone in the market.

It seems that Apple really hates the iPhone6... battery slow dow, massive performance hit because of Spectre and Meltdown (even tho other iPhones are barley affected) and now this...

Apple clever milking tactics, will sell loads of shitty batteries, nice tactics to make some money of random things, considering sales will increase dramatically of those barreries, otherwise insanely overpriced at beginning for 79 dollars they made much less sales. AND Sheeps will think it is good deal, I I'll be iPhone owner I will sell, return or throw it to the closest person who annoys me and would by a Android straight away

Perhaps you should make this argument with Mercedes after your battery dies out of warranty and see where it gets you. Not that you have a Mercedes. Or an Apple phone for that matter.

From 79USD to 29USD and still, Apple has a margin of profit.
Just shows us how Apple is greedy. Slowed all the previous generations handsets down so they can get rid of all the batteries they have i stock and still make profit.
It's like you buy a Mercedes AMG, after 3 years they cut the horsepower by 300hp so you can go to a a mercedes shop and do a whole car inspection for 3000USD instead of 5000USD in a perfectly fine car. And magically after paying the 3000USD the you get the 300 horsepower back.

Breaking all the advertised performance that you paid for once the battery reach a determined health.

I'm not sure if they have or not the right to do that in the contracts, but what I believe if that if they do it they absolutly must compensate you economically due to lose of performance against what you paid or with free new batteries till a reasonable age of your iPhone. And what they are doing instead is do business selling you batteries at reduced price if you want to maintain the original and advertised performance of your phone.

                          Unacceptable.

I see this more like a try to promote an covert recall paid by customers due to a poor and monetary decision placing ridiculously small batteries than anything else. Which forces to charge the batteries too frequently with hungry processors and consecuently deterioring the batteries sooner than expected.

I hope that Apple's customers win the sue and some left that greedy company. Apple doesn't seem to have learned and sure that even the iPhone 8 , X probably will susceptible of this problem in the future. Perhaps Apple will decide to improve the battery capacity, power supply design and quality in their next models but the damage is done.

Looser is not willing to replace the battery even knowing the fact battery aging is affecting the performance. They will do all the possible diagnostics if they find the battery is working fine they will charge you for replacing the battery. I have apple protection plan yet they denied to replace the phone battery FOC. Money sucking company.
