Anonymous, 24 Jul 2011in the very begining, Apple had the 1st GUI on pc's. Bill G... morewindows was not "founded". but yes it was copied from Apple Macintosh. Which was production realization of Xerox GUI technology.

Nokia was my first phone more than 5 years ago, and this year I got my iphone4, it's incredible phone especially its retina display that gives iphone4 the high clearness and brightness,and for many years I had been waited for a phone with multitouch screen that nokia doesn't have until they produce their symbian ^3, now I'm waiting nokia to introduce its new N9 to see what they will do.

Bill Gates (Windows founder) came and stole the idea and released Windows before Apple does. So, it's not only Apple that steals ideas. It's actually EVERY company in the industry must have stole one thing from the other. That's how it works..

Symbian over iOS

(just listed important features)
Though iOS lacks a lot of features, still it feels smooth & homey when you use it. Also, App Store is what iPhone is all about. If only Symbian would run smoothly (esp. the browser) and Ovi has tons of apps, Nokia would surely still be the king of smartphones.. Hope they do something about it. Cause I don't want droid phones to take over.. But I'm not so sure in Windows on Nokia. I still prefer Symbian.

It is sad because almost everybody had at least one nokia phone in his life
It was difficult for me to leave my nokia e72.for the samsung galaxy s and now I own a galaxy s2
I hope Nokia will be back at first place and design something innovative that everybody would like to buy

I don't understand why people say how Apple has done great with just launching one phone of different generations compared to Nokia who has brought phoones from the beginning , a much larger population all across the globe, you think that's easy?
Many people criticize Microsoft over the years with their operating system, then came along windows 7 and most people that use windows 7 have way less complaints than before, focusing especially one one type of phone(Iphone) and upgrading its features aint that hard to do especially since Apple copies ALOT from many other companies , the Nokia N8 is great product ,people who are using Anna leaked version are very much happy ,even without the Anna it gets the job done...
Time will tell what the future holds for Nokia, the N9 will hit globally at the starting of October , and also the first W7/Nokia phone due before the end of the year.
People expect the perfect phone from every make. Many are also hesitant to try other mobile OS's also, iphone is App runner and doesn't offer much functionality.
Won't be long b4 it's all over for them. Wait and see.

- Android is almost in every phone in the Market.
- Amazing for Apple since is the only one that make iOS for only iDevices.
- WP7 it will be a renaissance for Microsoft in Phone Market (let's see in near future)
- Blackberry..well RIM is almost in bankrupcy if they don't do something about it...
- Symbian is Just in Nokia and some older phones (Sony and others)
- Meego is just a "nice project" Nothing Solid or Real for Marketshare for now..
- Bada and WebOS don't worth the mention :P

When it comes to Nokia though I fully realize their flaws and where they went wrong in certain areas. I'm hoping they either fix Symbian to the point where its accepted as a true iOS and Android competitor and it gains popularity.... or that WP7 and Nokia become a strong force. I'd love a Nokia running WP7 with the camera of the N8.

They just happen to make a lot of headlines because of how huge the iPhone is. If the iPhone would have been a few years later nobody would pay attention when the sued companies (if they'd even do so). Nokia, Microsoft, etc have all been going after the likes of Samsung, HTC, etc etc. They are all trying to protect their patents that they worked so hard to achieve... wouldn't you?

Its also what happens when you keep improving on those designs and keep those designs and features relevant with the majority of buyers. Whether or not the iPhone is the "techs" dream or customizable or "open" doesn't matter... its list of features, reliability, and ease of use appeal to a large audience. Not bad for a company that only 4 years ago started making phones.

good going apple though iphone is not as smart when compared to android phones, still it appeal to the masses.
Nokia has only one way to make a come back and that is they start making phones with Android as their OS
