I hate glass backed phones with a passion. Filthy. Smear ridden grease traps they are. Pixel had the right mix. Mostly metal, good blend.

I hate glass plated phones with a passion glass is for windows tables glasses and they all carry that universally recognizable symbol: fragile. They are not for housing anything, least something portable and droppable

Why don't they make a solid back plate out of that instead of glass that's going to scratch and break regardless of how strong the frame is, this trend really is beyond me and I wish the bigger companies would finally have the guts to put an end to it.

It is real strong and used since long in car engine and transmission. It will burn dangerously if ignited though usually a blow torch

They mean the same magnesium alloy that I had in my Sony Vaio laptop in 2014?
It was really nice material, light and it behave almost like aluminium but it crack at some point(when i burned MB I strip it apart to sell parts and I played a bit with it)
