A big LOL for the pricing. You can easily get s8/u11 for 2050 aed whereas other last years flagships cost 900-1000 aed, like htc 10 and galaxy s7 in dubai.

what fair is if you compare the same midrange phone from the same country and the same up to date screen, which is LG Q6, man even LG Q6 is way cheaper than A8. despite LG has a bit lower spec on chip set compare to samsung, and a bit stupid to made the finger print scanner gone, but hell from the outside its almost look identical
I just wish that this phone marketing will fail very very bad, and will got a price drop in a couple of month, so it will be worth the price and mid ranger fans can actually buy this phone finally

Samsung has to grow up if they want to compete in all the segments. If they price a low range mobiles in mid range, that doesn't mean that the can compete in mid range. There was a time when Android means Samsung and vice versa. But consumers learnt over the years. So it is no more the case. Look at A8 (2018), it has 2 apparent advantages; display and IP rating. Rest all specs are similar to Redmi Note 4. Even Moto mid range and Lenovo K8 Note offers splash & dust resistance. Yet Samsung priced more than Honor 10 View and want to compete against 1+5 and Mix 2.

The only thing wrong with A8 (2018) is the price. And that will get fixed sooner or later.

Samsung should reduce no of phones and give timely update to existing customer. they have not provided even note 8 or s8 oreo update

One can get an S7 edge for less than the current price of an A8 (2018). But obviously, the price of the A8's will drop soon...

A8 is now on presale in Finland for 499€.
Last years A5(2017) still goes for 349€
and A3(2017) is going for 249€.

Phone looks decent, but it's just overpriced. Like many people said, you can save a bit more and just get S8 or LG G6. Or you don't even need to save, and just go for OnePlus 5T right now. It will be worth it when price drops, in a few months I guess. But right now, it's a no for me.
