HMD are based in Finland, where they design and develop the hardware, license the patents from Nokia Technologies and other partners and then finally outsource the manufacturing to Foxconn.
It's the same setup as Apple have... And Google, Sony, Blackberry, Microsoft... Are you upset about the pricing from those brands as well? Do you call their products "chinaproducts" in a racially derogatory way?

Looking forward to this. By all accounts the Super 9 is going to be really beautiful. Not sure about 4 cameras but if they work simply and well then open to it. I am particular keen to see the big screen on a compact size like its reported to be. win win and legendary toughness.

HMD global doesn't making phones. And even don't developing. Just pr, marketing and pretending to be real. In fact they cannot even camera app make fast and good. Plain android and nothing special overpriced phones from ancient, like "nokia" 2. Remove brand - and you will get crap.

Waiting patiently for Nokia/HMD goodies in MWC and forward. I am really looking forward to see global release of some midrangers such as Nokia 6 (2018). I hope they will release it soon after MWC and hopefully will also land in Indonesia shortly, not after 9 months after global release announcement... that happened with the Nokia trio 3, 5, and 6 last year.
Actually I would've really considered Sony XA2, but since Sony had left Indonesian market in 2016 due to a complicated rule here, I guess I'll settle for Nokia 6 18. Would've been gone to Xiaomi Mi A1 too, but Nokia 6 18 has SD 630, while Mi A1 has SD 625.

Honestly, it would be pretty weird if the CPO just went "Nah, it's going to be pretty shit this year from us at MWC".

Th e quad camera concept is a bit like the pureview thing many, sensors for one full-on amazing image.
