[deleted post]If you want people to receive patch to mitigate malware even on a 4 year old device then use iOS else if you want a new vulnerability/malware to affect your phone every now and then go ahead and use android as oems do not care to fix them if you do not buy a costly phone.
Do note that android is open source and will be always be a victim of malware now and then which may and may not be fixed whereas iOS is closed source and its difficult to penetrate in their ecosystem

[deleted post]If a device is vulnerable or affected by malware and its older less than 5 years from date of launch then it is guaranteed that it will be fixed - iOS
If a device is vulnerable or affected by malware and its older less than 3 years from date of launch then it is guaranteed that it will be fixed - Pixel
If a device is vulnerable or affected by malware and its older less than 2 years from date of launch then maybe it will be fixed - Other Android Flagships
If a device is vulnerable or affected by malware and its around 1.5 years older from date of launch then pray to GOD that malware does not affected your phone as you are already abandoned once product is sold to you - Cheaper Android Phones
