If this is true then Xiaomi will dig its own grave. Well, I still won't be surprised to see Redmi 5 and Plus do good in sale.
The reason Xiaomi might not come up with Note 5 is mostly because they of the Mi Max 3 and Mi 6X.

😂 cuz of india, product name's changed, and confusing global user. Like redmi 4x (santoni) as redmi 4 {in india} and the rom of redmi 4 standart (prada) was mixed with redmi 4x (santoni) if you wanna download prada rom in en.miui.com
This'll critical mistake

If this happens, it will only compound the mistake Xiaomi may have made in not producing a true successor to the Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 4.
Slapping the Note 5 name on what would be a sidegrade, at best, will simply harm the Xiaomi brand as a whole.

Poor decision. Launch the redmi note 5 with snapdragon 660. Or sales will decline

This seems most likely going to be case but I hope we will see a real successor to the Redmi Note 3. Redmi Note 3 had a better processor than Redmi Note 4 in terms of performance. Snapdragon 650 was performance oriented whereas Snapdragon 625 was a little bit of downgrade in terms of performance compared to the Snapdragon 650. If the Redmi 5 Plus launches in India as the Redmi Note 5, I hope it will at least come with Snapdragon 630 or 660 instead of the Snapdragon 625.
