          To help other readers, these are the conversions

          * Slow (0-1Mbps) = 0 - 125KB/s

          * Okay (1-5Mbps) = 125KB/s - 625KB/s

          * Fast (5-20Mbps) = 625KB/s - 2500KB/s [which is 2.5MB/s]

          * Very Fast (20Mbps) = 2500KB/s - above

          Mb is megaBIT per second
          MB is megaBYTE per second
          Watch out for the capital letters to know which is which.

            New Android P will feature seconds on the clock so you wouldn't be guessing
            when the clock strike midnight precisely!

            Very useful.

                Whoops. forgot to add something. the app measures speeds in MegaBytes. while the ISP and Infrastracture measures in MegaBits. (a bit is EIGHTH of a byte.) so. according to scales you are actually knowing.
                Slow (0-1) is 0-8 Mbps
                Okay (1-5) is 8-40
                Fast (5-20) is 40-160
                and Very fast (20+) is 160 and beyond.

                  Anonymous, 23 Jan 2018Since when was 5Mbps fast?5 MBps (megaBYTE) is 40 Mbps (40 MegaBIT per second) and it's the minimum barrier to be considered fast. and since it's the half-mark for a cable-connection. 40 Mbps in wifi usually refers to the fact you got ATLEAST 80 Mbps. Do note though. that not always it's HALF the speed. I've seen cases as a manager in an ISP company that the costumer in the infrastracture used had sometimes 70% and even 80%. so each case for it's own.

                    Useful
