Samsung is still using 2016 chip exynos 7870 in 2018 like on 7 prime so what might possibly go wrong more than this, Xiaomi is also planning to launch their new popular device redmi note 5 with sd625 that is also advancing in wrong direction. Moto devices however might come with latest sd 630 but camera is always been their problem .

In my opinion, due to popularity Xiaomi is going downhill. Phones they release get more and more expensive and their used SoCs and everything else remain the same or even get worse. Every phone they release, except for xiaomi mi series, gets SD625. I remember getting Redmi Note 3 Pro for 140 euros year and a half ago. It had SD650. Now even mi max got SD625. Redmi Note 4 with an inferior SoC costs 150 euros without taxes. I'm not even talking about mi note 3 which only had SD660. No, it's not a bad SoC, but for what I'm paying, I would expect nothing less than a SD835.
I used to defend Xiaomi a lot and you could say I was a fanboy, but now I see things differently. They have changed.

It's not the Samsung which got hurt. They maintained their market share. It's the Lenovo, Motorola, Micromax, lava, carbon etc got hurt. Xiaomi ate into their customers. It's actually brands like Oppo and Vivo, apple who ate Samsung's share. I think things are not looking good for Motorola and Lenovo and Huawei offer better value than Lenovo and Motorola now. Motorola was trying to be a premium brand slowly, it's going to be a great challenge for them to maintain their share when Xiaomi and Huawei are launching new models every month.

For premium phone models over $500 USD like Galaxy S, Note and some A series models, Samsung has more premium offerings, better build quality, better software, better support and service, etc. But Xiaomi Redmi phones has much better value for price than Samsung Galaxy, in the price range below, say, $300 USD.
India is developing world market and value /price is very important there than prestige brand name. So it is inevitable that cheaper Xiaomi will defeat Samsung Galaxy eventually. Samsung will not get back to the top from this defeat. Xiaomi ill prevail for the time being.

Well, not their flagship phones anyway like Mi Mix and Mi Note series but instead the cheap Redmi series. Same with apple products here and flagship samsung phones. The sales are a joke. They think our 3rd world country can afford those prices. Not even the cheap flagships like OnePlus 5T sold well here.

So on top of that smartphone you pay for company logo. Also xiaomi sure is good, but support service in europe is poor. And samsung is still wayy more spread.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Samsung's midrange and low end phones are just horribly underspecced compared to Xiaomi's offerings. Take for instance the 5" Redmi 4X, 5.5" Redmi Note 4X and the 6.44" Mi Max 2. All three corner the entry level to midrange market covering all screen sizes with unique selling points: huge 4100mAh to 5300mAh batteries, bright ips hd screens, ir blaster, very good snapdragon processors, premium metal build, good cameras and excellent fingerprint scanners at half the cost of equivalent Samsung models which are practically devoid of any unique selling point.

For me its excelent news since if they sell more they can do better prices and hope better phones and so on.
Sammy and others are falling like i predict a year ago, god listen to my prays.
