galvatron, 27 Jul 2011Linux is based on Unix and never Windows, probably Windows ... more"Linux is based on Unix and never Windows, probably Windows is based on Linux and not the other way around, unless somebody just doesn't know the facts and kept making up things which aren't true :)"

Well as the current incarnations of windows as based on Window NT, released when Linux was still just Linus' wet dream. I think accusations of making things up can go all round.

Actually, if you want a look at the hidden history of windows. Try look at the relationship between 2001's HAL and IBM. Then taking the same view of WNT.

Lesportycoq, 29 Jul 2011SOME PHONE!!! Have the Omnia7 8 months now and not a spot o... moreI agree with you completely 'Lesportycoq' - i too have a Omnia 7 phone and I haven't had a single thing go wrong... My HTC Desire HD couldn't be fixed (the engineers didn't know what went wrong!) and My iPhone 4 also had major performance issues... I think the windows OS is better anyway - I just wish I could expand the memory on my Omnia 7! But it is a brilliant phone and I recommend it to anyone. The important thing for Microsoft is to now keep this performance up and produce updates in the future for existing users - If they forget or do a nokia (with Symbian i.e having to keep releasing updates just to fix bugs etc) they will have a issue increasing their share against competitors.

Some people that comment here should check their facts..
Microsoft is more the copy. Both were based on Unix. Linux went opensource.
Microsoft became a commercial ripoff. These is unfortunately nothing original about windows..
