iPhone X production halved?!
I guess that notch didn't pay out afterall.
Also the FaceID is really uncomfortable and slow to use in practice. It's less secure, but people don't care much about that.
And in terms of software, that half-swipe that Apple copied from Blackberry X/10 OS isn't a user-friendly experience. There was a much better way of doing the navigation, and they flat-out failed on this front which is awful to see on a closed-ecosystem like this.
The iPhone X theory/concepts were good, the execution was horrible. The price is inexcusable.

That Apple got away with distracting the people from spotting its missing clothes for that long is an accomplishment in itself. Question now is what to do with the doughnut building. San Jose does not have a Moscone Center as SanFrancisco has.

The OLED panel isn't at fault. It's the combination of the notch, tiring face id, pain in the @ss user exp, and the fact that the phone is way overpriced.

Not a surprise. Since the X is such a big deviation from the iOS user experience. Those new gestures aren't helping either. And paying that much money on a phone which is essentially half-baked? No way.

I have the iPhone 8 and if the X was the same price I would still pick the 8. I hate the notch, no touch id, 18:9 display ratio, rounded display corners and the ridiculous price. Not that the 8 is so cheap (800 euro), but the X is 1100 euro and I will NEVER pay that for a phone. I can afford it but I don’t want to because it’s not worth the price.

$1000 phones are just plain silly. Seriously will a $1000 phone, can you make phone calls better? Or do anything that a good $400 phone can't?

The regular costumer got used to iphone 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 6, 6s and 7.
All had front button, since 5s it is FPS.
X is totally different.
Also the design is ugly.

Till now, apple had popular (and actually nice even if overused) phone designs that they actually drove the market (for atleast most of last 10 years before they missed to lead the large screen and small bazel).
This year I couldn't accept the notch In iPhone x and decided to buy iPhone 8+. Hopefully now that Jony Ive is back on phones, he will be able to work his skills that he is known for to make iphone x 2018 version much better device to look at.

Face id and insane price is to blame, OLED nothing to do with it. 2 out if 3 will be oled next year and will cost arms and legs and chipset 800 one will be with LCD by analyst :))) you can start to half all the sales of iphones right from now :)

i change phone easily 2-3 times a years and always buy flagship one.
So its not a question that i cant afford it its a question that i dont like wasting my money on inferior product.

Alot of conflicting articles on the X. It's apparently selling very well but then it's production is being reduced? I'm guessing it's not selling anywhere near aswell as previous iphones and even aswell as apple expected. The phone is clearly well overpriced and this is effecting sales. ($2099 for the 256GB model direct from apple here in NZ)

Apple are simply losing sales NOT because of the display panels, in fact according to T3 etc, it's the premium of premium handsets! Apple losing sales are due to their pricing, so one would assume that you don't have an iPhone because you can't afford one! That simple, so stop bashing here and wasting people's time reading your nonsense! Thank you!

Apple desperados dont care about tech, just being safe and acting cool in the apple ecosystem.. Even an iPhone 4 will do great
