Anonymous, 30 Jan 2018"...Dolby Digital 5.1 on the phone’s dual loudspeakers for ... moreYes, i doubt this part also since true digital 5.1 (or more) sound is not currently supported of todays phone's built in speaker or headphones.

But I think they are preparing this to implement it for sound integration in their project linda laptop that possibly might use hdmi to pass through a multi channel digital sound or even maybe in future multi config built in speaker.

Future seems bright for this exotic phone.

It beat Sony xz premium and xz1 to HDr AND dolby surround?
Razer probably got dolby because of its partnership with the laptop division

What good is HDR with low brightness levels?
Yes, colors are mostly regarded to it, but so does brightness. True HDR can be achieved with higher peak brightness and lower ceiling dimness.

LG superfan, 30 Jan 2018I though they were hardware thingsnah HDR 10 and 10+ are basically just color calibration. but it has a minimum requirement of 10-bits, which most screens already have. Most companies are opting for HDR 10+ because is it royalty free. Same as how dolby audio technologies are just algorithms that calibrate how the sound is outputted.

With sub-400 nits max brightness, I don't think it can be considered as HDR screen. For that, even a LG G4 could play HDR videos as well, heck even Galaxy S6.

-Dolby Digital (AC-3) was, and is, already in most phones. The latest iPhones has it (and also are the previous ones) along with HDR tech (HDR10 and Dolby Vision). So is the LG G6. So, the word "new" applies to the Razer line of phones only, which only has one as of the moment.

This makes even less sense. So in essence it support Dolby Digital 2.0 not 5.1 because it only has 2 speakers (not 5+subwoofer)

Why should you have to update the phone for the feature, when it should be the App that needs the update?!?

Every improvement is always welcome, even if it is small, etc....
