What about those of us that preordered the S8? We still have 7.0! I would love my money back, how about that!

dxyuyu, 03 Feb 2018Well that's the thing.. What about those who live overseas? Yeah, that sucks. They probably should release a unlocked version worldwide... Maybe eventually they will, if there's enough demand for it.

Sonu4678, 03 Feb 2018Ah, okay......happens to everyone. Active = build as the flagships should be. Xcover = expensive piece of crap for high price and low end hardware.

The only phone i was considering buying in 2017 is still stuck in the US for only three companies

I guess Samsung just want me to buy the LG V30+ or something

I never saw it between new or just released phones on gsma. I wish they would ban the xcover and make active worldwide. Then I could maybe think about buying again. Flat screen and 4000+ mah is what the world need. Not edges and smaller batteries than the former successors.

S8 active and A8 (2018) look the same from the outside

Once you use the active series, you'll never want to go back to the regular one. It's that good. :D

This article was about Oreo update BTW.

Hats off to Samsung for continued support but I don't understand the following:

"The S8 Active running Android 8.0 Oreo is now Wi-Fi certified, which is a necessary step to be taken before the update goes out to users."

Hasn't it already been Wi-Fi certified once? Whats the android version got to do with Wi-Fi certification?
                        Can someone kindly explain this.

S8 active? S9 is on the way out. Yeah, Samsung and Apple are always late. Same crappy quality and company.
