There are people in this world who genuinely think the Redmi Note 5 will look anything like this.

PriteshThakker, 06 Feb 2018> I understand some instances of downgrades with success... moreThe two examples of downgrades I listed were totally unreasonable. The changes I referred to was from RN4 to rumored RN5 specs.

Since you called me out for being obsessed with S650, which I am not, so there you go.

        > RN5 is expected to have 4100 mAh battery, not sure why you say it is smaller when RN4 also had 4100 mAh battery (RN3 had 4050 mAh one)
        > I referred to leaked / rumored RN5 specs, which isn't going to have SD625, I never said SD625 is good for 2018. But it was great for 2017 and just Ok for 2018

Also, the problem of rumored RN5 is it will have SMALLER BATTERY. SMALLER, NOT LARGER, just for the 0.2 mm thinner phone.

Xiaomi used Snapdragon 660 on their Mi Note 3 and its predecessor uses Snapdragon 820, which makes them on par or even a downgrade for MN3.
Xiaomi made a deduction of 1000mah of Mi Mix 2's battery from its predecessor. That alone reduced 0.2mm of the phone but the drawback was a battery life reduction. The endurance hour reflects that.

Obviously they are going to use 14nm+ SoCs from Qualcomm (or those stupid 28nm MTK chips) since they are more power efficient than the previous chips, but even though it can still run latest apps and is still well performing, Snapdragon 625 is getting stale.

          Snapdragon 625 isn't very "2018" either.

what about RN5 with snapdragon 835, dual camera front and rear, usb type-c and fast charging package with wireless charger, SAMOLED screen with gorrilla glass 5, 5000 mah battery, android 8.0 upgradable to 9, bezel less with 95% screen to body ratio, 8gb of RAM, 256 gb of ROM, and all that for 90 dollar.

now this sir, could be more believeable!

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2018Fake, concept, fanmade render, just like previous "leaks"Not so much as you express... this shall be close to real one, as Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus already has slim bezels and 4000 mAh battery.

At given low price and less availability of AMOLED will surely affect. Also this is mass selling model, it can not have AMOLED, as industry can't produce AMOLED so quickly to meet the demand

AnonD-430043, 03 Feb 2018this budget phone is impossible to have that thin bezels, j... moreI think MI Mix was totally surprise, it had no renders.... or had it?

Also, having slim bezel is tricked in photos, so somewhat bigger bezel than this are obvious.

But I think Redmi Note 5 will have more screen-to-body ration than Redmi 5 Plus, so bezel are going to be slim (though not this slim, I agree)

AnonD-694886, 03 Feb 2018The point of buying Note 4 over 3 is for the battery life. ... moreCompared to RN3, RN4 also has 2.5D glass, more premium design & looks, speakers placed at bottom (not on back) and improved RAM+Storage to price ratio.

Also, recent Xiaomi phones, including Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus all have 14nm SoC from Qualcomm Snapdragon. Suggested SoC for RN5 are also 14nm and thus shall have decent battery run

If someone is obsessed with just SD650, then 2018 for them is still 2016

Everyone can have the keys in the position they most like. Honestly, wouldn't use for long a Xiaomi (Samsung or all others) that have the back button on the wrong side (and with a permanent label on it).

Oh great great great one there, I so much love what I see. I believe the battery will last long having at least 90h of endurance rating. Good cameras front and back. Good audio especially through headphone. Radio, otg, IR blaster, and good performance in general. I hope to own one of this. I love the light blue colour on the redmi 5 and redmi 5 plus. As for the price you always have the best of price for your customers. Good work done.

its not huge battery for a phone like this. Lets just say its a normal battery size. if you wanna see huge battery on a thin phone, check zenfone 3 zoom

I doubt it. So many renders on the internet about redmi note 5 design. I predict it will not much different with redmi 5 (plus) with the same top and bottom bezels.
