Essential Phone starts getting February update

This comes just a day after Google pushed out the February patch to Nexuses and Pixels.

I was too happy to install the update, as I was just about to sideload Oreo beta 3....
But then Oreo failed as the package installed is "newer" than that of Oreo :'(
Seems I have to wait for Beta 4 or OTA.

    wow that was quick. But they're still on nougat 7.1.1.
    We, oneplus 5/5T owners are still stuck at december security update but we're already on Oreo 8.0 OTA update. Soon to have 8.1 with the gestures UI update, i'm excited..
    Oneplus made the daceunlock trend by simply using the front camera which other OEM are doing the same and now the gestures will be a trend too, goodbye annoying virtual buttons.

Simple, if u don't want any Security Patch updates, then don't even buy a smartphone

If you don't like to stay safe you can turn off updates at all and don't cry how you hate to keep your phone away from vulnerabilities.

          Only if it was available in India.......
