The Nokia 500 is Nokia's first 1GHz Symbian smartphone

01 August, 2011
Nokia continues its Symbian push with its latest Nokia 500. It's quite like the C5-03 but with a 1GHz flare.

I am a bit surprised for Nokia what it takes time to start a new phone with Windows Phone OS? Instead they are pushing Symbian OS, they never accepted that the reality that Symbian is no match to other OS like Android. Are they in Software business or gadget/hardward phone? If they want to continue moving forward they have to blend themselves with the market not pride of being the creator of Symbian?

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2011surfing (on small pages), installing apps (or i should say ... moreperhaps there are developers who would like to develop the apps or game for symbian belle, since the N8 had already failed, especially in the distributin of the apps.we'll see latter, buy the newest symbian phone, and you will find out you have nothing to do with it,you will lack of exploration bcoz of the limitation of the apps or games..if you only want to browse or playing games, many android tablets can do it,with rich availability of apps and games,it runs smoothly without needed any 1Ghz cpu..symbian users just way too excited knowing there is the first 1ghz symbian phone, but the other have already launched it in the past, and know they're trying something new, developing something new, while the symbian still bussy with its 1Ghz cpu..pathetic!!

Have a good night still, i was looking only for some fun this evening laughing at Nokia knights.

To the n900 guy, I don't even need to video-rec how a n900 is performing at even handling one SMS notification click to open...

See ya all in next news!

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2011surfing (on small pages), installing apps (or i should say ... moreNever knew java was a smartphone os. 7650 is the first smartphone with apps written natively, had copy paste, web, camera, all integrated. That was the definition of a smartphone, now it seems a dual core or 1ghz defines a smartphone. I applaud nokia for pissing off fanboys with their 1ghz symbian at 150euro pricetag. Lots of jealousy is present, it's unbelievable.

Well a 150 euro 1ghz phone is doing the same 3d games that your 700 euro android dual core does. With belle, anna, ovi store will grow with more apps and games. Grow up, stop hating.

You are funny man you know, you look like an Apple fan but with nokia. I critize personnaly everything bad or that lacks of interest, i would be the 1st to critize the SGS3 if it's "only 12MP" (got already disappointed enough to see SGS2 was only a 8MP).
