Maybe Vlad should be a bit more inspired to read some facts. Perhaps Sharp was inspired by its own earlier model, Aquos S2, which had the notch and which was already out in the market when iPhone X was only merely announced.

u literally just fill in the empty spaces from the notch and its the samsung galaxy s9...having 0 bezel is just not that serious, esp over stifling quality features to fit them in other positions

I've owned and used the AQUOS Crystal and Crystal X...
Was waiting for a replacement since 2014 and then the bezelless trend picked up pace in 2016 after XiaoMi revived this design...
Saw the upcoming Mi Mix S2 or something, that was what I have hoped Sharp would come up with, but sadly no...

I think this type of design and use of tech in insane way shows this is start of mankind dooms day. Please stop supporting this type of products by just not buying them.

Anonymous, 09 Feb 2018I for am fed up of people like you who see everyone copy Ap... moreit's not that i only see everyone is copying Apple but in fact they do ... check Sharp before this stupid design they already made a bezel less phone but instead of innovating with their own design like they did with Aquos Crystal they went and made straight copy from Apple like if you just see the design with Aquos S2 it's like Essential phone but now ohh look how the notch got bigger because Apple did it and same goes with Google pixel 1 they made fun of Apple removing 3.5 jack in their Ads but with their Pixel 2 they removed just because Apple did it .... with Huawei Mate 10 pro announcement in CES they made fun of Apple's notch in their key note ... but now check the rumored P20 design it got that stupid notch ...
and i'm not against copying from each other but at least copy the things that worth copying like iMessage,the quality of the Apps, the color tune of iPhone X camera and make it better not worst like for example Pixel 2 with no headphone jack and doesn't come with type C earphone in the box ... i mean at least Apple include their earphone with lighting port ... what i'm fed up about is blindly copying Apple of their worst features not copying their best features .

Forget about Sharp! They don't even care for its customers & after sale service. We are Sharp Z2 owners & until now not even one single update for its phone firmware & the phone is choked full of problems & bugs! Phones get overheat, auto shutdown & battery problem.

It would come out fine and look nice if not for that ugly notch. I would take huge top-bottom bezels from Sony than that ugly notch any day.
