Alleged specs of the Snapdragon 670 leak online

09 February 2018
The upper mid-range CPU is the successor to the Snapdragon 660 and could be built on the ultra-efficient 10nm process.

Anonymous, 11 Feb 2018Wouldn't it be better to just buy one with SD821/835?835 ..yes 10nm as well 670 would be a bit slower brother but 821? ...821 would be worse in terms of performance and power efficiency

640 would have 2x high end cores and 6x low end the 670 would have 4x high end and 4x low end - This "wrong" rumor has to stop, search it better :P

And here I haven't seen lots of phones with SD 660... I expect for SD 670 to be popular in 2019 or even 2020, when there would be a SD 680 or something around already. It could even be a SD 700.

If my cheap android phone was upgradable then sd670 was in my cheap android phone xD

Success or failure of SD670 depends on its price. The SD660, predecessor of SD670, has respectable performance for its time, but it failed miserably in market, mainly due to its price. The SD625 has feeble performance for mid-range, but it succeeded wildly, for its cheap price.
Recently, MediaTek and Samsung released quite competitive mid-range chip in very attractive price. Now SD625 is getting too long in tooth. Qualcomm should learn a lesson from them.

                      Who cares
Snapdragon 660 never came any device
And we can expect 670 also naved came in market
They are just fucked up chips...

LG superfan, 10 Feb 2018This chip is supposed to succeed the popular 660 which is a... more"Succeed" should be put in quotes. SD 660 is 2 clusters made of 4 big and 4 small cores each. SD 670 by comparison would only have 2 cores in the "big" cluster and 6 cores in the "small" cluster, ultimately making it a slower experience on apps that support more than 2 core (most google apps for example).

How exactly is SD 670 a successor to SD 660 again? Oh wait, we talk of Qualcomm here, the company that produced SD 810 which was actually (in practice) slower than both SD 805 and SD 808 ...

W' Qualcomm numbers don't mean much often ... oh well.

Let's hope that we'll see it at MWC.

The stated SD670 spec does not match with the old spec of 670, leaked in last December. On Dec. leak, SD670 has 4 * A75 and 4 * A55 core and Adreno 620 GPU . And AP with 2* A75 + 6 * A55 is named SD640, and Adreno 610 GPU. The new SD670 this time seems like old SD640 with better GPU (Adreno 615) Confusing...
I guess that Qualcomm had killed the old SD670, because it deemed to be too expensive and as unpopular as old SD660 or too powerful to threaten lucrative premium chip SD835/SD845. And they renamed old SD640 to new SD670.

Anonymous, 10 Feb 2018How can it be significantly cheaper to produce than the 800... moreIt's pretty simple. They produce the higher-end chipsets and those that don't qualify as the 800 series are made into 600 series. Nothing gets wasted here.

This chip is supposed to succeed the popular 660 which is available in only one phone as far as I remember
