It's not a "free" line of service. It's get two lines for the price of one. You have to add a line and then you get the second one for "free." Obviously if you have to spend money to get something it is not free. It is also only for T-Mobile One plans. So people grandfathered on older plans get nothing. In other words, T-Mobile's most loyal, longest subscribing customers get nothing.
