At @0.75W the M3 is going to be slower than SD835 Kryo 280 in some workloads (AES, LZMA, Dijkstra, SQLite, HTML5 Parse, LLVM), while much faster in others

I did some calculations and Exynos 9810 seems to have a sustained performance that is higher than Snapdragon 835 but lower than Snapdragon 845. Kryo 280 (SD835, A73) @2.35ghz consumes 1.1W, @2.05ghz consumes 0.75W; at that frequency, assuming no throttling on small cores, we get a GB4 score of 1690 single, 6657 multi. Kryo 385 (SD845, A75) @2.8 ghz consumes 1.01W, @2.6 ghz (that is the frequency of the first run of GB4 @ multicore part) consumes 0.85W, @2.3ghz consumes 0.75W; with a sustained GB4 score of 2025 single 7642 multi (+15% sustained performance over SD835 at same power consumption). Mongoose M3 (E9810) @2.9ghz is going to consume 3 WATT (worse than SD810 A57), @1.95ghz (that is the frequency of the first run of GB4 @ multicore part) consumes 0.95W, to get at 0.75W the frequency is going to low 1.45GHz; with a sustained GB4 score of 1858 single 7190 multi (+8% sustained performance over SD835 at same power consumption).

AnonD-731363, 16 Feb 2018Man but soon they will be everywhere. In my country here ... moreWell yeah maybe soon, in the mean time if I purchase Xiaomi phone I'm gonna have to send it to china to get it fix if there's problem with it. Let's not forget to mention that I'm gonna have to root the phone to install global rom for that "warranty is void". All the hassle so I could save a few bucks on my phones. I had a couple Xiaomi phones they're actually pretty good my first redmi 1s I accidentally dropped into water, redmi 4x I cracked the screen and mi note 2 I woke one morning it no longer turns on. I liked xiaomi phones but till they get wide international service center I'd stick with Samsung I like their products as well any way.

In my country here in Slovakia in heart of europe we sell xiaomi phones from beggining but we havent pure xiaomi shop full of only xiaomi products until late of 2015. Same for eour neighbours Czech republic.
Soon they open everywhere and if Trump allows even in USA.
I hope so. Because in USA people have no option just go for apple and thats it probbably.
Which in my case is big no.

I've read online as well that they don't wide international service center so base on what I've read and experience I'd conclude you're making things up.

Those aren't midranger score, how much score does the Exynos 7885 in the A8(2018) gets?
1530/4400, doesn't even reach SD 820's score nor the SD 660. (All the scores i'm comparing are from Geekbench 4.2 FYI)

Amazing single score. And how the gpu? Can it beat adreno 630?
Samsung makes Qualcomm and kirin like a midrange chipset.

It requires deep inspection (e.g. benchmark that isn't oriented toward speed only, but also power usage) whether the final performance per watt is really higher or not, that's the important thing.
