Sony, HTC and LG one of those companies will leave market very soon. Satured markets and extreme competition, none of these companies can handle it at the moment.

    to all people, don't buy and please forget the u12 as all talents (within htc to be exact) has been acquired by Google, don't expect any good design, Rom, timely updates, etc.

    the only way can save HTC is concentrate on entry level and featured phones.

For that prices, you prefer a brand that give you more security leeting you go to the nearest service point a solve any problem or change it for a new one without having to deal with expensive transportation and insurance, and fastest local software updates too. Here they even aren't available for buy in the stores.

        PeterThePanda, 15 Feb 2018People, please buy HTC phones so we can "Help This Company". :DIt's the price. The only way to succeed in the oversaturated smartphone market is reasonable pricing. HTC smartphones are overpriced which isn't going to sell. If HTC phones are affordable everyone will buy them which will certainly save the company and most importantly help them in the revenue. HTC is better company than any Chinese phones out there. The lack of good direction to win the market from the competition have left the company in serious trouble.

              HTC used to be my favorite brand. I liked their design language and Sense was fantastic to use. I used Blinkfeed all the time and loved the vertical app tray and the style of the icons. It went wrong with HTC. So we grew apart :(

                Anonymous, 14 Feb 2018My U11 keep prompting a software update (it is stuck on Oct... morewhy don't you use htc assistence? i've one htc u11, with android 8.0 updated 2 weeks ago. 0 bugs till now, 0 crashes..0 hard resets, 0 apps crashing. it looks like you have a defect unity.
                did you tried a factory reset, try the updates with 0 apps installed. if that doesnt resolve, just return it.

                  I've been saying it all along. They first made an awesome design with M7, which was overall a great phone, except for the camera. Then they didn't exactly score 100% with M8 and M9, and cameras were still just as bad. Then the M10 came along - great phone in almost every way, too bad there was never an M10 Plus.
                  And now we got a huge-bezeled U11, which on top of being a fingerprint magnet, isn't very durable.
                  HTC is a company, that as soon as they get something right, they instantly scrap it and start from scratch. That's why they never achieved such market dominance, as Samsung and a few others.

                        All companies should actually retrentch personel who can't make their companies profitable. After all, those huge salaries and bonuses should mean something.

                        This applies to LG, Motorola, Sony Movile etc etc.

                          i think htc is the best. htc was the first android phone first 4g phone also presented by htc and first dual camera phone and so on.then why people hate htc?

                                Finally! Thanks to God! Hope he didn't get any bonuses. And hope he took all idiotic ideas (such as cheesy shiny colors, outdated design, no 3.5 mm jack) with him and HTC will start listening to customer. Hope it's not too late...

                                  My U11 keep prompting a software update (it is stuck on October 2017 security patch) but after downloading phase, the installation phase keeps abruptly cutting off after 20% and bricks temporarily before cutting back to where l started, i.e. prompting me for that update all over again. The device also has bugs hindering installation of some apps from the Google store, which forced me to hard reset it in the hope of some cure (it worked to my surprise!). This company is clearly nose diving to oblivion or at least entered a slow spiral of death.

                                        Anonymous, 14 Feb 2018I need from HTC in 2018: U12 Premium = 5.7" 4K HDR LCD... moreNo edge design, it is dire. Much of the rest was OK. Need wireless charging and a headphone jack, plus more power efficient screens. As for 4k, not for me. Id take a 2k Huawei Amoled over the LCD they put in the U11 plus. Oh, and no glass back. My Lumia 920 polycarbonate phone is still in use by my kids today, still has an intact back, and screen. Now THAT is how you build a solid device.
