Can we try to get the Main disadvantages which GSMArena had found on the old Defy answered from Motorola ?

Android 2.1 is an outdated OS version
      Limited storage for installing apps
      No smart dialing
      No HD video recording
No DivX video support out of the box
Equalizer controls are not within the music player
      No secondary video-call camera

Gingerbread ROMs have leaked for the existing Defy, not to mention a near-perfect CM7 port (which is based on 2.3.4) and the CPU can easily be OCed to 1GHZ (the 3630 it uses is, I believe actually under-clocked to 800MHz).

So to say this new model addresses the short-comings of the original is a tad misleading since those so-called short-comings don't really exist.

f*ck, I just bought one :) Although for much less than 300 euros of course.
What about the battery? better processor will need more energy.

Is it OMAP3630 or 3610? Does it have a dedicated GPU? Gingerbread and 1Ghz = sweeter than before ;-)
