I just use the photo app on my pixel. Seeing MS add apps to a competitors store is funny.

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2018 You can only transfer from Iphone to PC but not PC to Iph... moreAndroid best for file management? Are you kidding? After the idiots at Google removed USB storage mode Android is stuck with MTP and PTP which both suck plain and simple.

It's quite literally quicker to power down my phone, remove the SD card, plug it into my PC, copy the data/music I want to the SD card, then put the card back into my phone and power my phone back up than it is to transfer the same content over the abomination that is MTP. And on my phone the SD card sits behind a flap secured with four screws!

The best file management was actually on BB10, which offered MTP/PTP, USB Storage Mode (of course) and also out of the box supported SMB file sharing which made transferring data really simple. Of course, BB10 is no more, so thanks to the hearts we're stuck with the two worst mobile OSes, Android and iOS.

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2018 You can only transfer from Iphone to PC but not PC to Iph... moreThat's not true. Why do people who don't use iTunes hate on it so much when they don't know what they're talking about? Also at least it's secure and not full of virus's so u know everything is safe. On my laptop I've created a folder through iTunes that sync's with my iPhone when connected. Any new pictures are also sent to that folder and any pictures that I put into that folder (regardless of the source through drag n drop) are then automatically transferred to my iPhone and synced when I plug in. Allowed me to get new and custom Wallpapers as well as put photo's on to my iPhone taken on from my camera.

You can only transfer from Iphone to PC but not PC to Iphone so it's not completely the same. Android is still the best for file management.

Vegetaholic, 17 Feb 2018Was perfect until you mentioned iTunes and music, no, it's ... morewhats complicated about it?

u open iTunes, then click on the iphone logo once its plugged in, then u click on the music tab and then u can drag and drop music files or whole folders into the window. you can create playlist or just drag and drop into window and that's it. click on sync and in a short matter of time, the music is on the phone.

          Theres nothing complicated at all.
u just hear the word iTunes and u think its all complicated but it isn't one bit.

transferring music can be done with iTunes. But, that doesn't mean its complicated, its very easy to transfer music with iTunes. only people who would struggle are people who don't know how to use a pc.

now there are simpler free apps available for pc which are solely made to transfer music from pc to iphone and vice versa. its easier to do than iTunes as its only music orientated.

Why... moreThere are different ways before this app to transfer photos. one way is to plug iphone cable into computer, on pc click on my computer, then click on the iphone icon, then all the photos will be in the dcim folder. just copy and paste. no iTunes required. I never use iTunes for a long time now. backups are done on phone and music is always streamed so happy days.

Love Google Photos and the big difference is you use iOS it seamlessly integrates where MS Photo does not.

My wife clicks her shutter button on her iPhone and without touching a single additional button and later walk into our family room and ask for fine details in photos. The TV turns itself on, input sets and the photo appears in 4k on the largest screen in the house.

But setting it up is what is the coolest part. Just buy, plug in, log in and that is it.

We also have the Google Home and 4k Chromecast. You have not seen your iPhone photos until you see them in 4k.

ethereal, 16 Feb 2018OR download/install Google Drive on PC. Problem solved. Why... moreDid you pay attention ? Microsoft does a direct fast transfer, without cloud, while Google forces you to upload your photos to their cloud first, basically defeating the purpose. There is no comparison !

ethereal, 16 Feb 2018OR download/install Google Drive on PC. Problem solved. Why... moreMany people (inc myself) don't have fast internet, so uploading 100MB worth of files takes about 30 minutes. Transferring them to my PC via WiFi takes less than 10 seconds. Job done!

It's for completely new or green people in digitize world. It's been for years easiest way to transfer your photos if you use Android. Connect with USB cable your device with PC go to folder DCIM and copy paste, takes 20 sec. If you iOS user, well sorry for you, you will need to use "itunes" and waste 1h to figure out how things works, guess this app is best to be used by iOS users :)

OR download/install Google Drive on PC. Problem solved. Why to duplicate things and lock across two platforms? Looks like Microsoft has nothing good to do now because of their failed platform so they are releasing either launchers, todo or stuff such as this on other platforms. What a pity!

                                      Not the Windows Phone.
All the default app in Windows 10 will eventually be available in Android and iOS.

so far Microsoft's android offerings have been very decent. edge is the best mobile browser I've used besides chrome, word is decent, even their launcher is functional and smooth (I still prefer stock). I think Microsoft could make a dent in the mobile world if they just used android.
