But agree, display is great. I always liked AMOLED(OLED), and that is why I own few models of samsung. But still great concern about burning, but if you will be careful and not driving backlight (or display brightness) to full, you should be fine.

Good choice by the way!
PS: I am from Czech Rep and I am able to buy a car for 500 USD and insurance is about 100 USD :-) and that's it.

That being said, I find it's a brilliant phone, and the screen is fantastic.

      For the record, in Ireland it's much more expensive to get a second hand car (car cost + tax + insurance). Even if the car is cheap, the tax will probably be that much more expensive, not to mention the insurance.

        I was playing with X and handling for me was too stupid. I need buttons and X does not have much of them .

          Here in portugal it's way cheaper to just buy the phone full price than taking one with any carrier. It's cheaper to just sell your device and buy a new one.

            I used to change my phone every few months, mainly because my phone kept fucking up on me (Usually battery problems). I used to jump from Windows Phone to Android and back again because I preferred Windows Phone's stability and UI, but Android had a greater selection of apps. In the end I got an iPhone 6s on launch, and was delighted with it. Recently got an iPhone X. It was the first time I kept a phone for more than 4 months.

              Interesting comments here. For me I'm big tech fan and I want always try something new so I changing phone every two or three months depends on opportunity or how I like particular phone. For my whole live I had around 39 phones to this day and I bought new only 3 of them in lifespan 15 years!

              For now I have samsung G note II (because it is classy) and iPhone 4 because this tech is darm good looking device.

              For rest of them, it is silly to pay 1000USD + for a bl*ody phone, but yes, I understand, it is fun. Someone is collecting watches, someone collecting phones. (Phones are much cheaper than watches!).

                  Yeah, many carrier contracts are around 2 years. It makes sense.

                    People these days run after the falgships and are in too much of a hurry to change devices each year. That said, I have myself changed devices each year for the last 2 years but there had been specific reasons.

                    The phone I got in 2014 was not 4G enabled and that sucked pretty bad. So I changed it in 2016 and got a phone with 4G, dual sim support, IR emitter, stereo speakers etc etc. But it was a mid ranger and couldnt keep up with the stringent demands I placed on it. So I changed it in 2017 for a better model (Honor 8 Pro), with a more capable processor and more RAM with more internal storage. Hopefully this one would last me at least 2-3 years.

                    To me changing a phone makes sense only when your current handset is NOT able to perform specific tasks that you need them to. Otherwise its just a waste of hard earned money.

                      Even if I could afford it, changing phone nowadays feels like not interesting anymore.. Just because a bit better camera, a bit faster processor... Nothing gives me the feel of wanting to buying anymore..

                        I have a HTC 10 and the things i do like to improve are not yet have any meaningful difference this generation from what i have already got (lets just say, there are no meaningful difference-except for speaker loudness-no camera seems magic in comparison also no battery & ...)

                          i bought my Passport SE about 1.5 years ago and will continue to use it till 2020(actually will use it longer but until 2020 it will remain my daily device) and a tip i already using my almost 9 years old N900 as back up phone so for me 3 years or more will be better and i mostly buy devices when there is a device which catch my eye and still my heart!(need to add money is not issue the look and feel of phone is what i really care about!)

                            2 years makes sense. You get more than incremental update in processing, camera and software

                                I could stretch my current phone to 3-4 years if only it had a removable battery.. Once the battery gets replaced, waterproofing is lost. Waiting for either removable batteries to make a comeback or the invention of a new battery technology which won't degrade after limited charging cycles, won't swell or catch fire and won't be affected by heat build-up. /:

                                    Still using Moto G 2013 with Android Oreo 8.1 custom ROM with February security patch :) :) its useless to change mobile every year.

                                    Thought of changing mobile now. Maybe I will consider some good mobile which will get good custom ROM support, maybe redmi note 5 pro(value for money mobile)

                                      msm5, 18 Feb 2018Changing your phone every two years is not true and nonsens... moreI updated from a Note 3 to a Note7 (returned), then to a Note8 because there is significant improvements to camera, S Pen, fingerprint, and screen. I can wait 3 years, and I'm middle-aged professional. I can afford what I need. My 5-year old gaming laptop works fine for my heavy tasks. I don't see the relevant reasons to get a new one yet, because its speed to fast enough.

                                      Slight improvements can justify a new buy every year. It's pointless, and wasteful.
