Is it REALLY worth the money...& most of all is it a "Keeping up with the Jones" thing or do people with the S8 really need the S9...is there so much extra that you need to spend almost £900 for it.
I was given an almost new S7 Edge ...What more do I need...I can make phone calls on it( You can actually still do that ) & it's got all the other social media stuff that some idiots can't breathe without...why upgrade...& then like some complete planks...Walk around with it in their hands & not in a pocket or bag ( usually have 2 bags) & just right for someone to steal...After all,Would you walk around with £900 in your hand for everyone to see..??
We are a funny bunch aren't we.....All I've said is sooooo true.

It's only going to be an incremental upgrade over the S8 with the major difference being the fingerprint sensor placement below the camera.. I like the back design of S7 & S7 Edge much more than the S8 and the upcoming S9 because it looks minimalistic.. Samsung should've used the underdisplay fingerprint sensor or side mounted fingerprint sensor to make the back design look minimalistic like the S7 series. There shouldn't be a major price difference. Samsung is playing safe with the S9 while holding the big cards for its 10th anniversary smartphone, the Galaxy S10 or Galaxy X, whatever it's gonna be called.

Okay...
What do we know so far about the S9?
- the fingerprint-scanner finally has a proper orientation but is still located too close to the camera
- still that stupid screen aspect ratio that gives ridiculous black bars when viewing media or screencasting on our TV's
- luckily it has kept the 3.5mm audio-jack
- the new SoC is the only real advantage over previous models since both performance and low-power cores are finally upgraded.
- camera is a minor upgrade (f1.5 vs f1.7) over previous model(s)
- it has the same wireless charging
- still no IR-blaster that they flaunt us with S4 upto S6
- it's starting price is a fair amount higher than previous model
...
Perhaps it's time for a new poll.
Will the S9 outsell the S8?

It's not so wrong if we say OnePlus 5T got a better Display than LG V30 and Pixel 2 XL.

Price aside, I honestly think that the Galaxy S9+ will be the most perfect smartphone to date.
I just hope Samsung would give a minimum 3 major software update to make up for its price.

It's more inline with a SD820/821-based phone and can be had pretty cheap. 300 bucks for a Honor 8 or 9 is pretty good deal with more perfomance then any SD625/SD630-device.
A Galaxy A5 cost about the same yet is slower and has less features (even the Honor 9 itself has less features than the Honor 8, go figure)
