    At first this statement
    "that’s the whole drive – each day for five years"
    sounds very impressive, but is it?
    It means that every bit can be written slightly short of 2000 times. And I assume that this is the 'extrnal' size, and that some sort of internal error handling of bad/worn 'areas' is included in this.
