The Honor version will get the android 8 and has more updates but the Huawei version wont be updated and the small updates are so little. So thats my opinion for Huawei not Honor for now. It will change if they support the "same" device. I still love Huawei but if they dont support the same device i may not buy a midrange device again. Probably going for Honor flagship.

Using front camera or faceID sensor, its just the same, just dont use it and stay with fps, no problem. I dont think using picture of your face can unlock, its more complicated tech.

Who would want this low security feature its not faceID people its just a face unlock phones does not 3D map your face like faceID it just takes a photo of you and compare it with the face selfie cam see when you turn the screen on its not secure it can be unlocked using a simple picture of your face unless it has what older android had blink check which ask you to blink after your face is recognized

Honor gives so many updates to its phones. I have the P8 Lite 2017 and I won't get the oreo update since it's Huawei but the honor 8 lite which is the same phone but comes as honor will be upgraded to oreo. Stupid Huawei..

Samsung researched face unlock with its S8 called Iris scanner and every phone cost a lot of money.
And huawei phone receives same thing free of charge with update.
Just great :-)
