Sony Xperia XZ2 image and specs leak ahead of Monday's unveiling

The flagship line gets a new design language to match its new 18:9 screen. The super slow-motion camera is getting an upgrade too.

Love the Community, 23 Feb 2018So this is Mirai. A "future" of headphone jack-less phones.... moreWhat if you try charging through audio jack? A good old short circuit. Besides it takes more space than 3.5 mm jack anyways.. Also to charge it, battery circuitry will be unnecessarily complicated

    So the Sony xz2 is the Sony xz pro.

      The design seems OK.
      But still I find many things lacking here which would definitely bring down Sony sales...
      01. No headphone jack, no competitive advantage
      02. No dual camera in back (current trend regardless of the actual usage)
      03. No stereo speakers in compact
      04. Low battery capacity in XZ2 compared to compact
      05. Still Sony got top and bottom bezels larger than that of S8 (Will wait till the official dimension release)

        Sony, easily walk the Htc path to oblivion now...

          Love the Community, 23 Feb 2018So this is Mirai. A "future" of headphone jack-less phones.... more Because that's ridiculous. There is no reason or excuse to remove the port. And just ask lg with quad dac or apple and Samsung devices with Wolfson dacs.

            Sony is definitely going backwards again, cutting out features from the compact version. And no 3.5mm jack, seriously?

              and still the speakers will be barely audible

                If these pics are for real then sony is going backwards. The excitement is lost.

                    Looks pretty good. Sony has been killing it lately. Their new devices deserve to succeed.

                      Oh man this looks great. Way better than XA2, XA2 Ultra, L2, those look worse Than their predecessors, while the XZ2 looks like a step forward, a different style to match the smaller bezels.

                        If Sony provides two USB-Cs instead of one port, that would be fine. USB-C headphones should be the future; Just ask HTC's U-Sonic.

                        WHY DO DEVELOPERS DIDN'T THINK OF ADDING TWO USB-Cs ON THEIR FLAGSHIP? IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!
