Also, why should all companies copy iPhone? Is it so hard to create something unique of its own? Sick and tired of these Apple clones. Sick and tired of "bezelless" phones which in fact has bezels.

All the overreaction from people not even knowing why Apple's notch was opposed in the first place. Most likely they are Samsung fanboys worried the S9 looks outdated.
Essential phone had a notch long before Apple and almost none complained about the notch. The Apple notch was complained because of the shear size and ugliness of how they done it. As far as the notch on this Huawei, its quite minimal and looks like it will only use the empty space from Android status bar. In fact there were reports of Android optimizing their system for the notch.
My only complain is that the P20 plus with no finger print sensor should have gone full bezel less on the bottom as well. With P20 having a FP in front, i don't mind the bottom bezel. But the P20 plus bottom bezel with just a logo looks a waste and still behind the iphone x.

Actually it looks more like Essential. iPhone X have probably smallest chin of any smartphone I could think of, but its side bezels are really thick, about the same as its own chin. Not counting the infamous notch, its bezels have distributed evenly and it gave the illusion of the bezelless design, despite the fact it has literally more non screen area than S8 for example. BTW I'm not talking about screen to body ratio here, because it's a broken tool.
Assuming those are official promo pics and knowing Chinese brands I bet bezels on the top and the sides would be thicker, yet will be smaller than iPhone X except chin. So we can say it has a so called "tri bezelless" design, relatively big chin (only compare to iPhone X), and much smaller notch than iPhone X, yet larger notch than Essential. All in all it looks a lot more like Essential rather than iPhone X on the front side. Except notch it even looks like Xiaomi Mi Mix.
I see a lot of comments on how everybody copies Apple. Since the LG G6 and Samsung S8, dozens of phones launched 18:9 screens and smaller chin and forehead, yet same people hardly talks about it.
Let's look at Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. Without question its back camera design came from iPhones, but the similarity ends there. Its frontal design came from LG G6 and we can track back the roots of the back design to the HTC One Max minus the camera, but nobody talks about it.

These Huawei phones would've looked way more beautiful if they didn't have the notch (small but still significant) at the first place. Huawei chose to be a follower instead of being a leader, and the damage has already been done. If Huawei thinks copying Apple is gonna make them the next Apple, then it's wrong. Huawei is yet another company with no originality whatsoever.

When ever any other brands copy apple then it's crazy whine all over the place. Soon apple copy the trend of 5.99 screen to as everyone is doing it so apple must do it also.

IPhone x notch is huge and makes it ugly. Not so the case with essential phone notch that no one complained and was released long before and iPhone x copied it from essential.
This Huawei notch is only slightly bigger than essential notch and hence more comparable to Essential size wise while the shape of the cut out is copied from iPhone x rather than the rounded cut out of Essential.

Notch notch... Please make 3 front camera top middle/center and end of screen ... So that it can take 3d photo... Place speaker at middle of the screen so that we can get surround sound. Place fingerprint sensor on bottom of screen so that we get another notch.. More notch notch more beautiful... Mad mad world.. Ha ha

Apple's move is forcing the accessory developers get on with the program. Apple's "ban" of flash lead to the html5 era of current. Cutting bad or old technologies is always a good think, one must really hate technological evolution not to see this...
