Times when Samsung means quality are long gone. Now they only sell and after the sale any contract is over discussion is closed and you are at your own with literrary anything.

And a 400 eur price tag for a 150 eur phone.

Another Samsung phone with Exynos 7870. I'm still using J7 2016 I picked up almost two years ago and it has the same CPU. This is getting boring already. My next phone will probably be Xiaomi or Huawei if Samsung continues this crap. Sorry, that's the truth. I won't pay 300$ for three year old chip, no basic sensors and so on.

If they are going to use an old chip, why not just use the 7420? It's probably cheaper to make (since the development costs were probably recouped anyway), performs better, and gives the segment some respect. And profit by calling it the S6 Neo or something.

And that's a 3.5 years old chip-set which was introduced in original galaxy j7. And samsung will still continue to sell their mid-range phones with new names, same metal unibody, same chip-set and with no primary senors.
kudos to Samsung's advertisement some people will buy it anyway.
This has to be stopped. With the resources they are having why don't they develop a new chip-set or atleast use a newer version of snapdragon chip-set (like Xiaomi)...??

Well, seems like Samsung is hell bent to see their market share shrink further.

very bad decision 7870 in 2018 3 year old processer
in this time xioami is better choice

Same chipset as the predecessors again and some very minor improvements. Some may argue with me that their EXYNOS 7870 is a very efficient chipset, it is true, it is already proven in a lot of tests, but for those who wants to argue with me, think again. The EXYNOS 7870 has been around for a while now on SAMSUNG's J series, wouldn't it be boring if they keep releasing the same chipset with new things like new UX, improvements on camera etc every single year? If that's the case, then I would suggest SAMSUNG to kill off their budget J series

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2018So the same than the J5/J7 (Pro) 2017, with an anemic mali ... moreYou know, it probably varies by country, but here in India, the A5 2017 sells cheaper than the J7 Pro. So its a very good point that if someone is in the market now, the A5 is a good deal (at least while stocks last!).

                                    Samsung is drunk asf now

                                    Same chip
Same phone with some new minimalist features
No sensors except for the accelerometer
                                    No 18:9 aspect ratio
                                    Slow to no software update
Higher price than the current model of the same spec

Why Samsung.. You can brag all YA can about the flagship but please put some love into the midrange man
