        At this premature stage, it almost doesn't even makes a lot of sense talking regarding the lack or not of the in - display fingerprint sensor (although I obviously 100% hope that Samsung will finally include it in the Note9, after skipping it for the S8 duo, Note8 and now even for the S9 duo!). But at this early stage, we can only hope that AT LEAST, FINALLY and eventually it will change...

            [deleted post]Exactly! It's miles apart. I have a Note 5 and Note 3 and even with that, the differences is so great. Even with my Note 5 running out of space and struggling with performance hit, it still does things much faster than Note 3, i can't imagine Note 8 and Note 4 which is like 3 years apart.

                It's far worse. Try to control your home with Note 5 ... you can't (no IR).

                Try to have infinite battery (you can't pop a spare)

                Try to have instant 100% charge (you can't charge a spare while using your phone).


                Everything since Note 4 is a serious downgrade in inportnat stuff and an upgrade on secondary stuff.

                Yeah, that's Samsung for you,

                The company that was selling 80 million a pop (S4) and asked herself "what does my phones need the most? Oh, I know, restrictions!" and released a phone that almost sold half (45 million, s6) and it's been a sad tale since (s7, 55 mil, slightly better ; s8, 38 mil, even worse!; s9, most certainly worse than s8 even).

                Yeah, that is the company we are talking about. The one which knew how to kake the best phones in the world and then forgot in a fortnight. We have another Blackberry in our hands. Sad but true!

                  [deleted post]The Note4 is truly a polyvalent and durable smartphone. Sure, it lacks the latest gimmicks, but is has a boatload of features, and can get the same Oreo than the Note 9, thanks to vanilla custom ROMs.

                  And honestly, what will the Note9 have that the 4 does not? Ooh! Infinity display. Ooh! Other gimmick!

                  Also, it is fair to expect a phone that was expensive and the top offering of one of the biggest phone OEM would stay usable for a very long time. And if a device fulfills all your needs, then why change? For capitalism's sake?

                          If you have Note 4, you stop there …Don”t need to update again till they make Quantum CPUs for the phones, with a nuclear battery that lives forever without charging ! Anything else is just another Note 4 with little extras !
