Firefox and Chrome suck on this phone when you don't want your web tabs to auto-refresh or auto-destruct when you need to do work or email people with this phone. Also, the Email app on this phone is way more inferior and unusable than an iPhone if you don't have a popular email provider like Google, Yahoo!, Outlook, etc.

This phone has a glitchy keyboard system if you use the SwiftKey keyboard instead of the Google keyboard. Huawei Mate SE only lets you have around 5 hours of web browsing, and then you will need to charge it for a few hours. Power saving modes on this phone's settings app sucks when you need to type slowly, but they shut your screen off before you can type more. You might as well not have a power saving mode on, right? Selfies will be a hassle for you to make when you use this phone when it will tell you to touch the screen to activate the camera, because it deactivates itself when you don't touch the screen for some period of time. Don't get this phone if you want to unlock this phone while exercising because it won't let you unlock it if you have your hand covering the screen so much unless you download the Settings Database Editor app and manually edit your phone's settings to make your phone more cooperative with you. Having your music or sound loud will trigger this phone to automatically turn down the volume without your permission, so don't get this phone if you don't want this phone acting like a parent of authority to you without your permission, especially if you have hearing problems. A broken feature this phone has is that it seems like you can lock your apps from getting deleted from the history of apps that you are using, but it actually doesn't work and your apps can be accidentally deleted without your permission. Connectivity sucks with this phone sometimes. I had better internet connection and phone signal connection with other phones than this phone. VPNs are not as reliable on this phone because of the lack of decent connectivity. Rooting this phone is impossible, so forget it. Lastly, music sound quality, the lack of accuracy in the camera because it distorts the color and the shape of your face to some extent, and the way this phone overheats when you play games all suck. This phone is only good if you want to call people, text people, use the Contacts app and other basic apps that came with it, and make a password protected phone. Otherwise, it is not good for gaming unless you like burning your fingers, deaf people unless they have hearing aids, exercising, audiophiles, rooters, Instagram enthusiasts that need camera accuracy to get high quality pictures, people who need high quality connectivity, etc.

Huawei is the 2nd largest phone manufacturer in the world (second only to Samsung). I've had several Huawei phones and they are all fantastic! Huawei allows me to get high-quality phones at a reasonable price... it is no longer necessary for me to pay exorbitant prices for a phone (after all, it's a phone, not a diamond bracelet). The Mate SE is another in Huawei's long-line of solid phones at awesome prices!!

When did a music app make or break a phone.? The Mate SE is a absolutely fabulous phone. As to the one who compared it to an LG G4 get a life. The Mate SE crushes an LG G4 in every way. For 229.00 or less no other phone touches it for performance. It runs Oreo and gets a security update every month.

Huawei Mate SE is a joke. The default music app for it is much more disorganized than the LG G4 music app, which is a downgrade. Also, it does not have the music pitch and speed changer that LG G4 had in its stock music app. So, I had to download 2 different apps for a music player app and a music speed and pitcher changer app, which costed me my storage on my phone. There is a popup that shows if you have your hand on your screen while your phone is locked. This is to avoid butt texting, but it is bad for people who are jogging. I downloaded another app to get rid of that annoying popup, which costed me more storage. Then, I have a problem with another annoying popup that shows if I leave my camera idle if I do not touch the screen for a period of time when taking selfies. At this point I feel harrassed by these popup messages. Unfortunately, I did not find an app to get rid of the popup when my camera is idle. And this phone is inferior when it comes to picture taking in general. Huawei Mate SE has a broken feature where it looks like you can lock your app to prevent it from getting deleted from the tabs of apps that you use when you press the square button, but it can get deleted even though you "locked" it. The other downside to this phone is that Huawei disabled you from unlocking your bootloader for this phone, so goodbye rooting your phone. This phone having only 256GBs of external storage allowed from an SD card is not 2018 friendly. You might as well prepare this phone to be charged up enough before you use an OTG cable if you are wanting to listen to music with friends at an event because this phone is not fast charger friendly. In the end, this phone is not good for music, picture taking, gaming unless you want to overheat your fingers, big storage, multitasking with certain apps, and rooting. You might as well call this phone only good for its default apps but don't expect good quality when you download other apps that did not come with this phone. What annoys me sometimes is when I look on Amazon and this phone's screen does not make the screen look clear because it looks shiny in certain places when you look at a completely white picture with this phone.

Huawei Mate SE is a joke. The default music app has a disorganized way of showing music based on the track number, so I had to download a different music app that did things more organized and proper. The popup screen that tells you to remove your hand from the screen before you unlock it is bad for people who are jogging, so I had to download an app to get rid of that. The battery gets bad after a while instead of being environmentally friendly and durable as much as possible. Gaming is pointless unless you want to overheat your fingers.

When USA intelligence agencies says "don't buy Huawei cause they are not secure" it means if there is only one secure company on the earth it's Huawei. Huawei have had and will have best phones always but seems like they rejected to give consumer's information to USA governments and USA governments are too stupid to get inside of Huawei phones, so the only way to stop Huawei is yelling at people and push them to don't buy Huawei phones. But seriously only an idiot or a red neck gonna believe USA governments and US intelligence agencies.

It's not really okay for a company to copy the product design of another company. It's definitely not okay for a company to copy even the product model of another company. I mean why will you do that? It just shows that you're not even creative enough to come up with a name. And I'm not even using an iPhone.
