east or west nokia nokia nokia is always best best forever... forget ur thinking sense samsung.... now nokia will rule........in smartphone market.. i thng to remember samsung if u want to stay in ths smartphone market get come back wth ur battery back up. excpt android do somethng inovative like nokia.

HTC has factories in China as well, they're just HTC's factories, not outsourced like Apple's (Foxconn etc.) so they can keep a closer eye on them.

I'll just be happy if they launch a phone that isn't touch screen and has a camera of 5mp or more......you know, the type they used to make before they went touch screen crazy.

Anonymous, 15 Aug 2011I'll take a superior Retina display over AMOLED any day. retina is no better than amoled or superamoled, i work with all mobiles and these screens are by far the best in all light conditions and also drain the least battery. Forget manafacture. besides all screens will come away from these technologys in a few years for graphene screens ... cheap and better quality and fully flexible.

S2 is best device on market alround though. the only complaint i have ever had which can be said about most companys are there lack of speed for updates.

HTC was named the "Device Manufacturer of the Year" for 2011 by the GSMA at the Mobile World Congress on 16 February 2011. In addition to this... Their first major product was made in 2000 and was one of the world's first touch screen smartphones.. Good to research a little more prior to making statements.

let's see, how many gadgets or appliances with the name Samsung do you have in your houses or the one you use?
If they weren't samsung, how many of them do have a samsung part inside?
so what if they will have a new naming scheme that nokia did earlier?
at least their naming scheme is allot better to understand given the letters they stand for.
i owned a lot of phone from different manufacturers and hey, they do really have their ups and downs, so what if the phone is made of cheap plastic? at least it won't shatter from a high fall? so what if they release a number of phones every year? at least they cater for more sectors of consumers? blah blah.. so on and on and on..
i just wonder if everyone isn't unique.
