Google Photos now lets Pixel 2 users export Motion Photos as GIFs

You can access the new functionality by heading to the three dot menu in the Photos app, and tapping the new 'Export' option.

AnonD-558092, 08 Mar 2018No APNG support yet? Sad. At least this is a new feature th... moreAnimated png is barely supported in browsers, much less in phones. It wouldn't make sense to have the option since you probably couldn't share apng with most people. Animated gifs however are pretty supported by every device. Don't get me wrong, I know png is superior.

I have mi a1 & i installed google camera with some tools, now i can also use this feature as gif or video or still image.

Wish they'd bring this to the Note, live photos has the option so a bit strange!

No APNG support yet? Sad. At least this is a new feature that is not related to AI so that's good
