Superusefull! And those who know what They do can use normal version, like before.
Yep. Education use older programs, but all those could be preinstalled and after that the addming could force all computers to s-mode. But in anyway, in education you can not normally install any programs to the computers anyway because of what addmin has done, so the difference would be minimal.

IF an entirely new ecosystem was designed bottom up with no need of backwards compatibility, there would be no (theoretical) problems designing a generic system.
The problem here is that nothing starts from scratch. Practically all of us has some old stuff we would like to work from day one. So we take a windows pc, to be able to run the old program.... and there are good and historic reasons for some of the compromises in windows (like that things were defines by pixels and not vectors, to save computational power decades ago)
And it is by far an easy task (and Windows do fail!) to make a completely backwards compatible platform, that is ALSO fully scalable to different physical screensizes and different pixel densities AND to be usable with touch only.
Even their develpment tool Visual Studio does not work unless you have your primary monitor at 100% scale!!! - so they make it really hard for us developers to make existing apps scalable...
I just HATE the utterly ugly flat 'metro' design, but they even make it hard to switch to it, except for new apps...

A mobile phone needs its own OS. And a computer,Needs its own OS.
Every category, has its own means and needs.
And it is impossible to achieve that with a single OS without bloatware!

Android tried to take desktop market failed.
Windows try to take mobile market failed.
Qualcomm try to take desktop market failed.
Intel try to take mobile market failed.
AMD.. the poor man, attacked on both sides.. by Intel and Nvidia.
Only when those 6 companies resolve their differences or manage to defeat the other.. can the world see impressive technologies.
Like a thunderbolt enabled smart phone connecting to external graphics card, that can install steam on android so you can play COD........ WOW..

Enterprise? Most enterprises run custom software, nothing to do with the store.
Windows S is for people who want to use Chromebooks, but hate Google, and that is quite a niche market.

Can only run apps from Microsoft store? This would make sense for Education or Enterprise use, but for the Home or Professional user, S Mode would be pronounced with an accent.

Confusing? To the end users OH yes it is. Why would this be offered as a "version" in it's own right? Why lock this down in the average consumers hands? No clue there.
From and IT professional perspective... a little. Make it a setting that can only be changed by a system admin. Really cuts down on the potential of unapproved apps being installed. Hopefully cuts down on the "dirty" apps being installed. But a completely stand alone OS? That's just silly. We always have to deal with some odd ball job specific software suite like the AV package that isn't in the MS's pathetic app store. Load the required software, lock it down, build your image, deploy your image to the rest of the computers, then deploy them to end users.
and laugh when they freak out over restrictions.

It would allow for users of previous windows versions, to test out compatibility.
And it would make some low end units cheaper.
Also, with Windows on ARM, it would open up for some DIY computer users to give Windows a go...
And while doing all that, it would make the market for Windows Store apps larger, thus make more developers interested.
When the number of windows store apps would reach a certain level, they could decide to start to charge for newer versions of Windows S.

Enterprise IT admins may wish to restrict application installation, though there are other ways of doing this. Seems like Microsoft was trying to help cut down on viruses/piracy/compatibility issues

If a person is biased against a company, why let that person write news regarding that company, if they can't stay objective?
Likewise, a person biasaed toward a company should not write news/reviews regarding that company, if they can't stay objective.

You don't... moreLol it feels you felt buuurnt, and as for the windows os its a complete dead os for mobile and i don't kind of like Windows 10, doesn't feel as smooth as Linux or mac os, but I don't want to get into the apple ecosystem

Should have made window s free, and upgrade from it little more costly to the windows 10, atleast entry level laptops would have been using it and Windows store would have improved with lot of apps hopefully, stupid microsoft (and also ease out some conditions for app development for app store)

You can use it and be stuck to 2015 phone forever or choose iOS or Android eventually. If you think no one is spyinhmg you on Windows OS you need to educate yourself again I am afraid
