For the money, I’ll take Sony anytime over Samsung. At least Sony is now part of Google’s Enterprise recommended program. Samsung is not.

The S6 and S7 are still getting montly security updates even tho the S8 have been out for a year, so why would they make quarterly updates for the S8 when the S9 is out?
And even if the S8 doesn't get Android 9 at same time as the S9 it will only be a few months late, you're really exaggerating
Funny thing is that, it's already unregistered people who make useless comments like this...

Like someone wants a phone for 950 eur where manufacturing price is 320,25 dollars.
Well i dont know like you guys but i am not willing to supper Samsung super expensive advertising without Samsung cant even sell a single device because its highly overpriced.

Note that this is not for the F model, where the situation is messed up. I am refering to the W model but other models too, even some F CSC

So samsung is already playing favorites as expected. Goodbye S8 updates, at least you got Oreo but you'll pretty much die with it or at best you'll get one last 9.0 update in 2 years if we're lucky. In a couple of weeks or 2-3 months you can expected to see samsung say they'll release quarterly security updates instead of monthly on the S8.

They always give faster updates on their latest flagship devices only, once a newer device is released they will reduce support for older devices.
