12 March 2018
That's 2 million more than Galaxy S8 and S8+ managed last year.

Pretty sure Samsung kept the identical design and no massive changes as the S10 would be the one to do that for, hence the iPhone X .
S10 should have a big design change considering Samsung's been the same since s6

S7/S7+ were the most successful? I'm surprised. I thought all the "infinity display" and minimum bezels hype would have raised the sales.

"Samsung aims to ship 43 million Galaxy S9 and S9+ units this year"

The title says "ship" not "sell" so calm down people..

But seriously, if Samsung wants those "shipped" phones to "sell", they need to reconsider the pricing of both S9 and S9+ because as it is now, it's just a big NO for many people who doesn't want to spend too much on a smartphone, since we all know that there are other phones out there that offers the same specs for a lower price tag.. so yeah.. let's just see what Samsung does this year..

              Waiting for note9

Well let's punish their cockiness, and perhaps we might pressure Samsung to produce brilliant SX next year!

I should suppose to buy the s9+, but the price is heartbreaking.

Why should I change my last year flagship with this year's? What is new with this year's flagships to convince my pocket to go loose?

why people will buy s9/s9+ at high price when iphone 7/8 plus is available on that price with secure os and great apps. Its apps that makes a phone premium. also pixel is there - no need cheap duplicate apps from samsung with no proper security update(forget Android upgrade - they are not capable , learn lesson from S8, Note 8 oreo)

Meh. The form factor it's a downgrade from my S7. I want a proper flat display and a fingerprint on the front. It's also stupidly expensive.

I wish them good luck. The two 9's are great phones but not great enough to make me switch from my iPhone 8 plus.

At this price, I doubt it. Is possible that S8 sell better, now that the price went down.

43 millions? I wonder who with some brain will pay 1050 for a phone?
Well if Samsung is first to updates and last to sales everybody would like Samsung but thats not the case.
Samsung dont offers oreo before andoid P is released and its so called budget phones J series wont get any updates at all.
Having Samsung is like a big mistake and big no.

Great upgrade from the S6' n 7's. Also if you are in the market for an upgrade and you're staying or going android ...... then will be hard to resist the S9's. Not so much if you have either of the S8's though.

Will people hold out until next year and the launch of the SX(?)?

I say sales will be lower than the S8's.

Anonymous, 12 Mar 2018Sorry! its not possible becoz Nokia cameback and will rule 2018So you are saying that Nokia comeback will rule 2018? Very true because last year, they thought that they are going to sell less than a million in 2017, but no. They sold 8.5million smartphone together with the 10.3 million feature phones.

Until now, iam still so curious of this question. How come they managed to sell well in 2017 despite of fanboy criticism and negative opinions from people???

Nokia will never be a major player in the premium phone market. It's too far gone and relies on it's previous branding which is mainly an aging and none money splurging 30 years olds and over who are buying them because what their brand USED to represent.
Nokia the parent company has way biggest coffers than the HMD Global, the company licensing the Nokia name yet they didn't even risk going back in with billions in their pockets.

They are dreaming. The S9 duo are too similar to the S8 duo.
Combine that with a higher price tag and theres no chance.

They couldnt even increase the battery capacity smh.
