You can even choose the bitrate of the mp3 quality.
I use it everyday. It's free and illegal :P

Google or YouTu... moreBuddy, google makes apps for making money. That's their priority. That's the primary reason why their app has ads & no background playback support.
The modded app i mention is made by geeks just for fun. It's why it has removed ads, added features like background playback support & black theme to make it better for the users.

Again, Google releases a Dark Theme late for Android where there are many more AMOLED screens that could benefit from this.
To add insult to injury, the theme is not even black, but more like a dirty grey, which means that it won't be as useful to preserve battery on AMOLED screen.
What a fail.

As for downloads, i use a seperate app called Dentex Youtube Downloader. It's pretty good.

There are two versions. Normal (White) & Black Themed. Download the one you want.

Why everything is iOS first, I mean one would expect at least Google to give equal if not higher priority to its own OS. I think by this Google is itself putting Android behind iOS.

Hahaha. I've been using a dark themed youtube app since many months. I don't need this official crappy version of it.
The unofficial version i use has the black theme + no ads + background playback + many more features.
Gonna keep using it. The official youtube app is for noobs.

Android is so customizable, every google app can be themed easily. With or without root, so release it first to ios just fine.
