Samsung Pay isn't working on some Galaxy S9 and S9+ units in the US

15 March 2018
The problem seems to only affect devices bought unlocked.

Samsung just released a patch to fix the issue. It has fixed my issue.

And to all the people who don't understand Samsung Pay. You can use Samsung Pay at nearly ANY credit card terminal. Not just the ones that say "Apple Pay Ready". It sends a magnetic plus to standard credit card swipers that mimics an actual credit card swipe but without sending your real credit card number. I've had this work on 10 year old machines as well as new ones.

                it's not a bug, it's a feature

Anonymous, 15 Mar 2018Apple Pay always works just fineSamsung Pay is superior and most widely accepted because most still has card readers. MST > NFC

I use Android Pay, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay. Acceptance is like 85% Samsung, 50% Apple, 40% Android. Debit is still better especially in gas stations. Cash rules over all.
