I actually don't care whether my next flagship phone has a notch or a thin bezel, but what I care about are the sensors included in them.

What the hell is the point of putting a notch if all you'll be putting in there is a speaker grill and a camera? I mean.. come on.. at least the i-Phone X notch justifies it because of all the sensors they put in it, but if you aren't putting anything in there and just putting a notch for the sake of copying "Apple's fashion trend", well.. that's just STUPIDITY!

A notch is not a "feature" nor is it a "fashion trend", it's there because it needed to be there. The same with how Apple removed the headphone jack, they had to because they wanted Apple users to switch to their proprietary wireless headphones.

Android manufacturers should learn that difference otherwise they'll only look stupid and dumb for following Apple for no reason than doing it for the "trend".

Nope. Not a notch fan at all. Just purchased a Note 8 and I'm glad that Samsung is not following the dumb trend like the Chinese makers doing with their flagships. With Google having the next OS version supporting notch designs, I can say this dumb idea is going to stay. Soon most of the Android flagships will have a notch just like how the OEMs are doing away with the 3.5mm jack currently. Looks like even the Android users are not having much choices too when comes to flagships.

I understand you don’t want bezels but you don’t have to defend a solution that is not aesthetically pleasing and even impractical in most situations. Excepting phones, can you name another type of screen that has a notch? Ask yourself why that is...

Apple has a notch on top but no bezel on the bottom. Has everyone forgotten that? No one is mentioning it. All the android noth wannabees have a noth in the bottom. What is that for?

This is the hot topic of the moment.
I'm glad to see bezels winning. It's not unexpected however.

You can't have it both ways.

Is the glass half empty or half full?
All phones has full notch... IphoneX has additional screen and someone don't like it? Just install update, and make that notch all the way through the phone. What's the problem?
Look at Samsung - all phones the same and the screen goes..., where you can't use it. Additional screen (next to the notch) at least is usable.

Look at the end of the day you only get a few more pixels, especially 8n Apples case. The pixels are too few to even sport a battery percentage on the iPhone X.

But the bad part is developers need to modify their apps in order to accommodate a tiny few pixels. Apple themselves are rejecting apps that do not support and embrace the Notch. Now that is just dumb. If there was ever a platform to be labeled Communist, then Apples iOS would win that title.

Plus what about apps that embrace VR. Apples platform doesn't embrace or support VR. But Google certainly does. The notch destroys VR.

A bezel is like a notch only dumber. It disallows use of the front face which could well be of great use...
