That's good. Keep the G series on IPS LCD & V series on OLED. The price difference between the two series should be significant.
The damn notch shouldn't be on either series... but i guess it's too late for that.

Is LG's G series remains flagship offering for the company or is it gonna be Middle ranger from G7? LG talks about cost cutting on flagships is kind of weird..

Vic, 17 Mar 2018Would be a wise decision. Really good LCD display will be m... moretrick is that companies dont cut prices of device it self when they making cuts like that.
Technically difference between LCD and OLED per device would be maybe 2-4$ Sound like nothing but when you making millions of such devices difference is huge.
LG or any other company will not lower device price by even 10 bucks jus because of that. Instead they will spend some money on advertising this "switch" as something new and better. You can be sure that this LCD display will be advertise as better than OLED because of brightness or pixel density, or any other thing they make up just to make that switch sound good.

Would be a wise decision. Really good LCD display will be much cheaper than OLED, helping LG to keep price of device reasonable without sacrificing screen quality.
