what is wrong with nokia wont dey give us an update for nokia E5-00.i am getting tired of the nokia company and their slackness.

wuest, 19 Aug 2011After the anna update there are two software updates called... morewhen you check with ovi suite for update if the servers are busy it will not show you any updates whats confusing is that when this happenes you will get the same no update available for 24 hours the ovi will display whats in it cache memory change you computer date and try to check again with ovi coz Over the air is always optional but ovi works most of the time .. hope it helps

finally updated my nokia E7 00 in OMAN.. i think i have some tips for nokia users in OMAN
1. Symbian Anna Update is avaiable in this country
2. OTA update is not avaiable at the movement.
3. Software update logo shows you the availbility of the new device software but guides you to use pc updating through nokia ovi
4. And inside the phone management device update option does not show any update avaiablity
So if you use nokia ovi from your computer and the first time it doesnt get the response from the server for about 24 hours you will get the same annoying msg no update avialble.. to get over this issue CHANGE YOUR COMPUTER DATE this should refresh ovi and it will actually check for updates this time and not show you stuff from cache memory of the software.
for e7 users ovi downloads 310 mbs initially and after the software is installed
restart and check for updates again.
the it will download symbian anna update 1/2 and 2/2 and ovi store and social.

After the anna update there are two software updates called symbian anna update 1/2 and 2/2. I am not able to install them, not OTA ether with OVI Suite or NSU. Anyone a fix or knows howto get this done. I saw someone fixed it with remove the sd card and did a factory reset, another told to delete folder E:\private\20019119 but both option did not work for me. So any other ideas. thank you

Guys...im having a finland made n8 with a product code 059D607...but i cudn't update my phone since they are not showing any available update for my product on the server....CAN U PLS HELP ME GUYS?

symbian anna update is something changed the performance of
my Nokia N8 and really its worth updating..
Keep it up Nokia and it's just the beginning.
Nokia rules the world.

Guys I lost the radio application after OTA updating to Symbian Anna. now I only having the Int. radio, anyone faced the same problem?

N8 updated. Honestly? In terms of functionality, I think the biggest gain is Office Communicator and potrait QWERTY. In terms of UI, the cosmetic changes do make the phone look much better. But the single biggest reason to update, is the substantial improvement in performance. Smoother, faster, significantly reduced lag, etc. That alone is worth the upgrade. The rest is bonus. Anyone who criticises for a lack of features is likely not a S^3 user because seriously, the performance boost is really very apparent and by itself is worth the upgrade. Also its not like there's a cost to it. Just OTA over Wi-Fi. It doesn't delete anything on the device. No cost. Awesome!

I have installed the Anna OS upgrade on N8. I wouldnt rate this OS as top of the world but yes definitely it takes your N8 to a new level. You will like the change.
The browser is much faster and usable now.
Then there is the portrait qwerty which i would rate as better than some of the androids. Yes i also use a Galaxy S2 and as such can give some comparison here.
Anna will not go ahead of Android OS, but having paid a substantial amount for N8 - the upgrade is a relief.
Touch interface has improved 25%.
Other changes are cosmetic.
So dont miss out on improvements. I would say go and get your Anna upgrade.

Some users posted that quick office missing after update, for me in germany quick office and adobe reader still there and also communicator added.

over night it worked for me in germany, but now I got an error with Symbian Anna: Update 1/2. I saw a post in Nokia Forum that after remove micro sd card and a factory reset and install them again over Phone Software Update it worked. I will try and let you know if that works also for me.

It ain't an update guys. it just gave a new theme and some new graphics. No continuous AF on video recording. n8 is a hell bad phone as well as symbian.

What about Belle? Browser upgrade with Anna will make a big difference, but Belle's the one with the camera interface overhaul.
