The images debunk the rumors for a snapper in the upper right corner.

They are unveiling it tomorrow. Until then I'm not going to accept any confirmations because Xiaomi surprises us each time. It is very likely the promo teaser stuff is just the MIX 2 and not the MIX 2S which could still have that notch.

Honestly that notch is probably the best type of notch possible so I'd be fine with it there. Plus it wouldn't make sense to have facial recognition with a selfie camera that points at your chin.

as it is 2s not 3 those that were a expecting a big change are just a bit silly really.

Great to know that Xiaomi didn't make that hideous design with front camera being placed at the top right corner.

I've had the original Mi Mix for almost 2 years and I absolutely love it. There were minor problems such as the camera but the phone has been my main device without any issues. I Plan on ordering it the day it comes out.

AnonD-739791, 19 Mar 2018Hmm, no side camera in the screen is a plus, but other than... moreHow is it a plus?

Now you have a whole bezel on the bottome that goes side by side, you can't go more into the screen than that. Also the placement is wrong, have fun with chin pics.

Xiaomi solved it on renders but like my prediction was Mi2s represents no design upgrade over mi2. In fact it has all the problems of mi2s and only upgrades themsoc most probabpy ... it won't sell.

Basically, it's a good news overall.

I wouldn't buy it anyway, but now I am calm since I don't want it.

eelpout, 20 Mar 2018> why do all"bezeless"phones have these big fat useless ... moreApple didn't bend anything around the bottom. The only type of screen that allows for it is the Samsung oled amoled that Apple uses in the iPhone X. It's Samsung's technology not Apple's.

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2018I want to see a 5TB 2.5" 7mm hard drive for my laptop, but ... moreNot really. Samsung already have some of that selling for enterprise right now. 30TB, 15TB, 8TB, 4TB, 2TB, 960GB, and 800GB. The 15TB cost just over $11,600.

                        Of course with thinner bezel.

eelpout, 20 Mar 2018> why do all"bezeless"phones have these big fat useless ... moreStill no good placement tbh. Better at the way of s8 through s9 imo, else my timing on NFS and Asphalt is compromised af.

And kinda hate the asymmetry of lower to upper tbh.

                            > why do all"bezeless"phones have these big fat useless bottom bezels?

Space for the display driver. Apple got around it by bending the display around itself and tucking it underneath. Not a cheap prospect I imagine. Other OEMs don't bother with this (and likely don't know how to) and do things as they alyways do.

Will this phone see the light of day in Australia? Please include Band 28 (700).
