Got update yesterday. Loving it. Its much smoother than N. Speaker is louder too. Whatsapp head up notifications were annoying but found the mute fix. The high contrast theme now makes Gboard proper black and white. Thanks Sammy!!

GoToSchool, 19 Mar 2018These huge companies have hundreds of programmers, engineer... moreWas a bit of a surprise when some experienced the reboot issue and it was only picked up after the Beta was completed and had already been given the green light by Samsung, people had already downloaded ........ then PULLED. BANG. SUDDENLY. GONE! Which I think was good and the correct response, Samsung acted quickly and decisively! BIG TICK! GOLD STAR!

                        However

NOT GOOD! The whole thing, the delay, Samsung pulling it, the snail pace rollout.to individual countries and regions....BUT THEN you could argue that many of other phones on the market that had already recieved Oreo much sooner than the S8 may of recieved updates since to iron out many many bugs. I dunno.

Would like to know for sure, which phone runs Oreo best? Which phone saw the biggest Improvement compared to previous OS. Which phone has and had the most bugs and the most annoying bugs? Which.phones have have the most updates? What are the average a Customer wait before receiving an update? .... that sort of thing. ..

Who knows, you may find out it was better to wait than to take part in what was REALLY just another glorified Beta, yeah they may of had it ready for devices to instal in time.to call it a launch BUT it was possibly full of lots of bugs and in an ideal world if given it more time they would of not released to certain models. Really when you think about it, all that the early users have been doing is testing it out, hence the later updates. we are ALL, everyone, just testing it out .....

Well, until the next OS comes along. Nothing's ever perfect..... Or so they say.

So I don't know what is best, early full of bugs or late and less bugs?

Suppose it depends how bad the bugs?

These huge companies have hundreds of programmers, engineers, testers etc working for them. When Google officially releases an update, I expect them to take at most two months to customize it and check for bugs etc. After that, release the update!!!
